I bought these for quick prep when my dog was sick and had to go on a bland chicken & rice diet. I've used the larger boxes/bags but they were out so grabbed these instead and ended up using a few for myself. They were very convenient to quickly pop in the microwave and almost instantly have a meal ready once I had cooked all the chicken for the week. The taste was great and it wasn't as sticky as the larger batches can get so I loved them. I didn't like all the extra packaging waste, but they were greats for my needs that week.

We get these all the time. Opened 2 tonight for dinner and they were full of oil! I cooked them but the rice was chewy and didn't taste good. It didn't smell like it was bad, just oily. But we are some of it and now we don't feel good.

These are favorite rice and I usually order from target. The last order most of the rice cups were inedible. I don’t know if they were not stored properly but in several cups there were pools of oil in each cup. I ordered 8 packages opened 4 so far and 3 out of the 4 packages were filled with oil. I’m hesitant to open the remaining 4 packages of rice due to the quality of the previous ones. Normally these cups are in good condition but not this time. Pics shows oil in one of the containers.

2 stars for the convenience, but zero for the taste. It tastes like rice that’s been sitting in the rice cooker on “keep warm” for a day too long and has started to yellow and get that funky flavor (IYKYK). Would I eat it in a pinch? Yeah, probably. It’s not going to kill me. But I’m not going to buy this if I have another option.
