Description
Cultivate a beautiful array of container plants with Miracle-Gro® Potting Mix. This potting soil mix Grows Plants Twice As Big!®* In addition, the added fertilizer feeds all types of container plants for up to 6 months. With this gardening product, you can expect more blooms for more color*. This container mix works best with outdoor container plants, including your favorite flowers, annuals, perennials, vegetables, and shrubs. To apply, select a pot with a drain hole. Fill the pot about 1/3 full with potting soil. Loosen the root ball of your plant and place it in the pot. Add more potting mix and press lightly to level. Water your plant and let it drain. For optimal results, refer to plant tags for specific sun and shade needs. Let mix dry to the touch between waterings; do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. To avoid soil compaction and replenish nutrients, all container plants should be repotted annually or as needed with fresh Miracle-Gro® Potting Mix. This was a great price for this product, and it the dirt was moist, not wet, but definitely felt fresh. Sometimes bags of potting mix can be dried out and feel stale (IYKYK). I would buy this potting mix from Target again.

This potting soil literally gave my plants fungus gnats. I never had an issue with all 3 of my plants that I got a two months ago. A few weeks after potting them in this soil, I all the sudden have a fungus gnat problem. I ended up tossing all 3 of my palms out.

If the soil is dry upon opening the bag we recommend emptying what is needed into a plastic bucket or tub, and slowly stir in a small amount of water. Wearing garden gloves and or using a garden tool work the soil and water together thoroughly until moistened. The white you see may be mold, neither fungi nor molds in our soil that breaks down dead organic matter harm growing plants. While it may be unattractive, it does not pose a risk to plants. Once the product is mixed in and/or is exposed to sunlight and allowed to dry out, the mold should not be an issue. We want you to be confident in our products. I am not happy. I didn’t know what gnats were when I used the potting soil. I continue to use it, not knowing that they were gonna take over my plants and kill them slowly one by one. I’m so saddened by this just like so many others!!!! I am losing all my house plants that I’ve had for years that I’ve been taking care of, they were my babies and I nurtured them just to have them ruined by a poor quality control of a product! Shame on miracle grow!!!

I've used MiracleGro FOREVER & it had always been great. I say had because something has surely changed. The last couple of bags have sticks & some other kind of material but not what I would call soil (dirt). This has caused me to have you water very often where before I could go over a week or so before watering. Saddened because it's always been my go to & my plants thrived but not now.
