Miyoko's Creamery Classic Plain Organic Cultured Vegan Cream Cheese - 8oz

I was pleasantly surprised by this. No, it DOES NOT taste like cream cheese and I was not expecting it to. It spreads well, so no fighting it to spread on my bagels.

This was quite possibly the foulest thing I have ever tried in my life. I thought it had gone bad, but nope, that was just the taste of it. It genuinely tastes like plain greek yogurt that’s gone bad. Do yourself a favor and do NOT buy this.

This was horrid. It has a weird lemon-y taste to it and a strange texture. I almost wondered if it was rancid until I read other reviews about the strange taste. Couldn’t even finish my bagel. All other, cheaper, vegan cream cheese I have tried were better. I gave it an extra star because the taste and texture may be better on crackers or something, but not for a bagel; not the taste or texture I would expect for a cream cheese.

I normally would not write a review but I just had to warn people about this product. It taste like vinegar and has a strange brown color. Would not recommend.

Prefer kite Hill chive cream cheese. I haven't found any non dairy cream cheese I like on a bagel alone. It always needs something to mask the flavor a bit, because it just tastes off.

Best vegan cream cheese out there

this cream cheese sucksss Unfortunately this is the only plant based cream cheese option that target has. To put this into perspective, it tastes like plain greek yogurt. Its bitter. Which is nothing at all like the soft sweet flavor of cream cheese. I tried one from HEB called VioLife plant based cream cheese and it was absolutely perfect. I pray target changes their option to that one. Amen.

Please keep in mind everyones taste buds are different. Tasted a bit sour, consistency left much to be desired for a cream cheese

Makes a great cream cheese frosting!

You’re insane if you don’t like this because it is the closest thing to cows milk cream cheese on the market. I have tried every single brand and this is the only one that doesn’t have coconut oil as the first ingredient, so it’s creamy and the live cultures give it that tang traditional cream cheese has. No other brand has either of those profiles and have all tasted bland and overly oily, then almost disappear when spread on hot bagels or whatever. Miyoko’s is thick and stays put, I use it almost everyday for something. I add a dollop to some plain vegan yogurt with a splash of unsweetened oat milk and seasonings to make ranch dressing and it’s amazing. This brand is dominating the vegan dairy game in this country with the exception of ‘Wild Creamery’ having a spreadable butter that is the best I ever had. I am not being incentivized to write this review but am convinced the one star people are.

Really good… for a vegan cream cheese. Of course it’s not gonna taste like real cheese, it’s made out of nuts. But if eaten with crackers or a bagel, it’s good! So expensive for a necessary vegan option!

If I could zero stars I would. Disgusting. You could ge a similar flavor if mixed barf with cream cheese.

The cleanest cream cheese product you can pick up from retail shelves. Organic, vegan friendly, and no added seed oils or emulsifiers. As a health conscious consumer, this is an absolute favorite.

Tastes absolutely nothing like cream cheese. Almost has no taste at all, except for vague, disreputable almond milks such as Silk (which in themselves have no taste when unflavored), and an unpleasant texture. Several companies make vegan cream cheese that works decently as a dip if not as an actual cream cheese, and farms sell cream cheese that is made with actual milk, which also looks, spreads, tastes, and is smooth like unsafe cream cheeses (such as Philadelphia). There is absolutely no valid reason for this product to exist.

I love Philadelphia cream cheese but my skin doesn’t. Not a bad non-dairy option.

I am truly unsure how this product made it to market. It tastes like something I'd imagine was scraped off of goblin feet. There is absolutely zero resemblance to dairy-based cream cheese.

Awful - very sour tasting and smells just the same. I was able to use it for a cream cheese frosting by adding 2 extra cups of sugar, but even then the sour taste was still present. Try another brand!
