Don’t fret, “coconuty” is not a common descriptor of our delicious cream cheese, but we always recommend trying it yourself!

A: Thank you for your inquiry. Our cream cheese date code stamp is a "best by" date and should be on the clear plastic lid of the container. However, it may be a bit challenging to see in bright light due to the ultra-violet glare if in store so best to tip up the cup/lid at an angle to reduce glare of shelf lighting. We hope this helps. Genuinely unsure if mine was a bad batch (not supposed to expire for several weeks) or if this is just how it is, but it smelled and tasted vile, with a weird texture and grey-beige color. Almost like hummus that's gone off. Absolutely awful.

If you’re looking for a cream cheese substitute, skip this. It’s tangy and sour, more like an aged cheese spread. As a tangy cheese spread, it’s okay, but it’s not even all that creamy like cream cheese is supposed to be. I’ve had many cream cheese substitutes and I have to say, this is the worst one I’ve tried.

This has the best tang of all the vegan cream cheeses I’ve tried. I’ve probably tried about four or five, the typical ones available most places. I love using this for stuffed French toast, vegan cheese cake, cream cheese frosting. It’s seriously the best. The only downside can be the price. But I find it’s worth it. Good ingredients, great texture. Thank you for offering this at target!

If you're eating this because you're lactose intolerant like me who misses cream cheese. This is not the substitute you want. It does have that nice soft and creamy texture if that is what you're looking for in a cream cheese. I enjoyed the texture just not the taste. Personally I think I'd just go back to tolerating the pain cause this taste more like a coconut dessert than a nice cream cheese.

I normally don’t write reviews, but this vegan cream cheese was really gross! I wanted to share my review so other shoppers don’t make the mistake I did (even though I hear positive reviews about their vegan cheese). I like Trader Joe’s vegan cream cheese much better.

I usually buy the Kite Hill brand of dairy free cream cheese, which I like but my local Target didn’t carry it anymore so I decided to try this brand. It’s gross compared to Kite Hill. It is very sour tasting. Will not purchase again.

This stuff is NASTY! Idk why people rave about it. It doesn't have the taste or texture of cream cheese! It is great in recipes where you need a sour cream or something like but gross to eat on a bagel. This is the 2nd time I've bought this (thinking it would be better) and it's not. This is the only Miyoko's product I've tried that I don't actually like. Very surprised by this.

I have been looking for a GF and DF cream cheese. This was very sour tasting. I am not impressed. It has a sour aftertaste. I would definitely not purchase again. I’ll keep looking for one that I like.
