A: Liddy Hueck has a cookbook that came out this year, titled "Cooking in Real Life." She has a salmon recipe there using Momofuku chili crunch. I just made it for the first time yesterday, and it was delicious!

submitted byKat - 1 year agoA: It is not designed to be a main ingredient. It's a condiment that can be added as a teaspoon to a tablespoon on top of Ramen noodle bowls, on top of cooked eggs (any style, from fried to poached to scrambled to boiled). Add to cooked/steamed veggies, a spoonful on top of humus and other dips, added to any stir-fry for flavor and heat, even to marinara sauce to make it a spicy arrabiatta sauce. It's like Chili oil/paste at Chinese restaurants -- excrpt the red pepper flakes in oil have several additional ingredients to expand the flavor profile. It can be added to almost any dish in which in which you'd like to add a kick of heat and unami flavor. It is pricey for the amount, especially if you just want to try it before paying $11+ for a small jar. The company should consider adding one small, 1-2 serving-sized packet to their 5-pack of noodles in order to entice shoppers to purchase a jar...imho.
submitted byBea - 2 months agoA: You can use this on anything! A few ideas: Top your eggs with it (hard boiled, scrambled, over - easy, sunny - side up, doesn't matter). Serve on top of fried rice or ramen.

Q: Can this be used in place of chili garlic sauce.
A: It would depend. If you're using it to replace an ingredient, like chili flakes, in your garlic sauce, then, yes. However, if you want to use the chili-crunch as a total replacement for a full-on sauce, it's likely too powerful in heat and flavors to replace an entire sauce.

Q: What is the heat level (1 not spicy, 10 spicy)?
A: The representative responding to yours another person's question about heat said it was a 3.5 out of 5 but also said it was a 6 out of 7. If it is a 3.5 out of 5, it would equate to a 7 out of 10 (NOT 6 out if 10)... OR if it's a 6 out of 10, it would be a 3 out of 5 (not 3.5). That's how equivalent fractions work.
