unstable top plate

I purchased a pair of 28". I found a major designer flaw. the top plate is made of MDF and sit on top of a hallow pole. After a couple of minor adjustment on the plate the center pole cut into the soft MDF. leaving a deep circle mark and become unstable. I wish it at lease come with 2 big steel washers. Top and bottom of the plate. So it wont have this kind of damage.

The 28" stands are perfect for my KEF LS50 Metas. At about 1/3 the price of the Italian (almost) look-alikes.

I have three pair of the four post Monolith stands and they're incredible for the money, but I was looking for something a little "fancier" and checked to see if Monoprice had something that fit that description. These have a similar look to the SolidSteel SS series of speaker stands that have taken YouTube by storm. Okay, maybe they don't look quite as nice, but the pictures here don't do them justice. They're way nicer in person. What's most noteworthy for us audiophiles is that they come FULLY assembled and are all welded construction! Just screw in the spiked feet (included) and you're all set. The legs are also fillable. Just buy these! It's a no brainer! And they come in more height options that SolidSteel too. Oh, and the top plate is more generously sized than SS which is a big deal.
