Monolith RCA Cable - Silver - 6 Feet Chord, 24K Gold Plated Connectors, AL foil, OFC Copper Braided Shield

OK, this is hardly a complicated item, it's a very well made surprisingly thick RCA-RCA cable for audio. I got this for the LFE channel subwoofer. The cable is wrapped in braided insulation and seems nice and durable. The connectors are really solid and aren't overly tight but fit properly onto the subwoofer (some fancy connectors are way, way too tight). The silver/black combo braid looks nice, isn't so black that you can't see it in the dark behind your equipment, but on the other hand isn't super bright so can blend in. The cable is fairly stiff as you'd expect at this thickness so if you need it to drape softly over something it isn't going to, but the stiffness prevents tangles, so that's a plus.

The plugs fit nice and snug on the input knobs, but not too tight. Just right IMO. The sound quality seems good to me and they feel very substantial.

High quality shielded cable for a fraction of the price of some alternatives. Note that these are sold individually, I only needed one for a LFE input to a sub but the quality is impressive and I cannot tell the difference from it and a couple of other cables I have that are orders of magnitude more expensive.

Top quality cable. Well made and transfers analog data (music) vey well. Sounds better than several other cables I have tested with the same setup.

My current system is not at a high level at the moment and I can therefore not make any definitive conclusions about the SQ (sound quality). The cable is very well constructed. My only negative comment is that they are sold as single cables. While it never states that they are sold in pairs, the picture shows 2 connectors which seems to imply that you are buying a pair.

I had a 200.00 dollar pr of interconnects that this replaced and the difference was night and day. Vocals and bass became outstanding. Gone was the muffled hard to hear at low levels. The greatest improvement was the soundstage. Holographic comes to mind. You won't be disappointed with these cables even if they're not cheap.

First off, most RCA cables (including on Monoprice) are sold in pairs but these are sold individually, which is confusing when ordering and also means there are no left-right markings on them at all. With a long cable, that makes hookup more complicated than it should be. The Monolith RCA cables are very well shielded , so I thought I would try them in the 12ft length, which is really longer than I prefer for an RCA cable but it suits certain applications in my home setup. Sure enough, when connected to a turntable they picked up quite a bit of noise and I could not use them for that application. But with a CD player, or any other non-turntable component, they were fine. So I would avoid this length with a turntable, unless it has a built-in phono stage. Other than that limitation, this cable does it's job accurately with no distortion and conveys the full range, tone, and timbre of the music.

Using the recommended break-in period of 100 to 500 hrs I believe these cables create a significant difference in the present of the high-end reproduction, along with improved clarity in The sound stage.
