This velcro tape works, but is very very "grabby", which makes it less than ideal, unless you want to secure something permanently. A gentler grade of hook-and-loop would have been preferred.

The hook-loop works fine. It is very soft. It seems to be for fairly lightweight use. I would not use it to hang up a coiled 100 ft water hose, but for lighter weight projects it should be just fine. I use this around the bottom of my jeans to hold them close to my boots to keep critters out when hiking. Works GREAT. Would also hold my sleeves around my gloves to keep the cold wind out. I wish I could find a heavier duty version to hang up that water hose with.
