I bought this to switch between two PCs connected to a TV. The PCs are often both on all day. I was hoping the device could auto-switch when one of the PCs extends/mirrors to the output connected to the switcher, but unfortunately in Windows no display is detected at all when connected to port 1 while port 2 is active, or vice-versa. The auto-switch does seem to work when plugging in the port or turning on the machine, I was just hoping it was a little smarter.
