Guests appreciate its aesthetic appeal and decent playability, though some mention the need for setup adjustments to enhance performance. While it may not match high-end models, it provides a solid foundation for those looking to explore or upgrade their guitar skills.

The guitar came quite quickly, in good condition. For only 100 bucks the guitar's quality is pretty decent for a beginner- as my daughter is loving playing it... but if you are interested in playing a great instrument I wouldn't seriously reccomend it.

I'm playing Rocksmith with mine. Clearly it does not get along well with Rocksmith but overall the guitar is playable. Mine wasn't well set up. Action is a bit high and this causes the certain strings to play out of tune, mainly the low e on the first few frets due to high action at the nut. Intonation has also been a problem. I re-intonated it once but after changing strings it went out again. For me hand tools and guitars don't mix so it's going to wait until I feel determined enough to fiddle with it. If you're not comfortable spending $50 or more getting the guitar set up you might want to pass unless you can do a setup yourself. If you add in the cost of a setup the guitar is far less of a bargain. I got the orange burst with a black pickguard and a rosewood fingerboard. TBH, I don't like the appearance much. I wanted the blue burst but it didn't seem to be available when I ordered. It's now sold under a separate listing at a slightly higher price. The neck is fatter than my old guitar and the back of the neck feels slightly gritty. My fret hand thumb gets sore as a result where it rubs the neck and also seems slightly more susceptible to hangnails. String spacing is a bit narrow for my fat fingertips. I was going to send it back because of this but the RMA period expired before I got to it. It's an okay guitar at a very good price. The included gig bag and cord are nice extras. I can't complain much considering what I paid for it but eventually I hope to replace it with something more professional.

Can?t keep the guitar in tune. Changed all the strings to better quality ?Ernie Ball?, but still goes out of tune. Also, can?t get intonation correct, and several strings buzz quite a bit. For the price, not bad, but if you?re looking for any quality, look elsewhere.

Very good, nice guitar. Finish was perfect. Very playable right out of the box. Great price, have purchased several guitars and have had no problems with any of them.Other than a few sharp fret ends. Can?t find a better guitar for the price, and nice gig bag?s too.Very good quality for the money.

It's a nice guitar. My only complaint is that the nut height was very high out of the box, so I had to file the slots down to make it playable. If you don't want to deal with setup, get one of the slightly more expensive Monoprice guitars that comes setup out of the box. For the price though, this is a very nice instrument and I'm happy with it.

I HAVE USED IT TWICE IN REHEARSALS AND CAN'T BELIEVE HOW NICE IT PLAYS. GOOD BALANCE AND THE TONES ARE REALLY GOOD. I MAY GET ANOTHER MODEL TO TRY. THIS HAS THE FEEL AND PLAYABILITY OF A FENDER STRAT. FOR THE MONEY IT IS A GOOD PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT AND REALLY HAVE NO DISLIKES FOR IT.

Well worth the price. Be sure to download the manual. It's well written and explains much. I lowered the strings (adjusted the neck and individual strings) and filed frets since I learned how to do that. Electronics? Works for me but I'm not a good judge for that. I have 4 acoustics and wanted an electric to .mess with. Everything works.

I bought the Sunburst model. It looks and plays great, and it comes with a decent padded gig bag to carry and store it in. It stays in tune pretty well. I bought mine on sale for $79.99. You can't go wrong with this guitar even at the regular list price. It is a great guitar especially for a beginner who is not sure if they will stick with it. A good inexpesive quality amplifier to get to go with it is the Monoprice Stage Right 40 watt amplifier with 10-inch speaker. I have one and I highly recommend it. It is great with this guitar, and it won't break the bank at around $100.

I own 5 Monoprice Indio guitars. The other 4 are amazing but this one is a dud ! I should have sent it back but instead I spent 60 bucks to fix a hundred dollar guitar. Fret buzz was so bad it wasn't playable. Im not knockin the company. I prefer a hundred dollar indio over a 300 dollar squier. The other 4 were setup and playable right outta the box.

I purchased this guitar to practice Setups, Maintenance, Modding, and Repair. I was amazed with the quality. At less than half the cost of an entry level Squier. The Indeo's specs are closer to Fender's as well. I have a list of things I intend to upgrade. It's the same list that I made for my grand children's Squires with one exception. The Indeo requires shielding where the Squier does not. Playability is very good and the finish is excellent. I bought the Burst which is a three color Burst. The Squier is a two color Burst. The Squier and the Indeo are both made of Bass Wood. Overall you get much more than you pay for with an Indeo. Fender Specs, better fit and finish, and Better Value. Well worth the cost. So far this guitar has paid for itself twice over. This has been an excellent purchase. .

This guitar made me a loyal fan of Monoprice's Indio guitar line. This is hands down the BEST budget guitar for a great price. No other company offers these features and extras. Their customer service is excellent. Obviously, it is still a budget guitar, but soon after I bought this guitar, I saw a post for a custom shop guitar by a big name company that had the exact same features as Indio, but cost over 20 times more. You can't beat the quality and value for the price. Since then, I also bought their OS40 DLX PLUS guitar, and I am also very happy with it.

Looks good, and a great platform for upgrades. Needed to tighten tuner screws in order to hold tune, but works fine now. Remarkable for the price!

A few common modifications turned this guy into a fun player. Smoothed fret ends, filed and crowned a couple of high frets, installed a P90 in the bridge, reshaped the headstock. Bought a second one right away. The four star rating was for "as delivered". It's easily a 5 after a little work. Just a little more attention to the fretwork would really set this brand apart (but probably raise the price).

I am thrilled with this guitar. It plays great with no sharp frets and it has a beautiful tone as well. The finish is awesome. I love the white pickup covers , switch tip and knobs contrasted with the dark sunburst. It has a nice mellow sound but I haven't even tried it through my NUX DS-3 distortion pedal yet because I play more melodic stuff with chord progressions. I used to play hard rock but as I've aged, I'm 59, so have I mellowed but now that I think about it when I saw the DS-3 demonstrated it sounded best through single coils. I have an Epiphone SG VE but and a Les Paul Studio LT too but the Indio Cali Classic is my new go to axe. I love it

This is my second Cali Classic, a sunburst that weighs in about 5 ounces less than the (achingly beautiful) ice blue that i bought on a flyer and have touted ever since. AND the 'burst came with a whammy bar that the Bluebird lacked (tho' it has the whammy bridge). Listen, the reviews have said it all: if you're in the market for a Strat, haven't won the lottery or got a trust fund, and aren't on the level that a factory will duke you goods for your endorsement, buy this axe. The value is extraordinary.
