This review comes after a few months of ownership and after sorting through different desk padding options from different vendors. Besides protecting the desk surface and the unbeatable price based on the material and size, there are more benefits than I originally thought such as: *The coverage size is very good, and the extra space on the sides permits you to do away with the mouse pad as the textured surface is mouse-friendly. *The front lip helps alleviate/cushion that pesky desk edge that is very bothersome when writing or using a keyboard/mouse. *The surface wipes clean very easily. *Has not warped, stays true to its shape. *Give the desk an 'upgrade' as it makes it look nicer. Thanks to Monoprice for offering such a fine product.

Very slippery, and makes hands sweaty. It doesn't stay in place to well either. I used double sided tape to make sure it stayed in place. save your money, I wouldn't recommend this product.

I like the look and feel of this mat. I think it's very good office desk mat with a good quality. Also, I like that it's rectangular, my old one was rounded and had smaller surface area.

I needed something to cover my worn desk. I have an inexpensive desk with a wood grain vinyl surface. Over the years, the vinyl has worn and another color shows through. This desk mat was just the thing to cover up the distressed top and give it a new edge. My only wish would have been that it was 3 or 4 inches wider.
