I have bought these for decades. They are the best

I could only eat so much before throwing it away. (I managed to finish 80% of the package) It wasn’t very good. It has a wierd chemically taste. Maybe too much black pepper? I can’t quite put my finger.

The first time I tested them out I had trouble with making sure the whole sausage was not super hard to eat. I did try both methods of the stove top and the microwave, which is pretty nice, especially when you’re in a hurry you can pop them in the microwave and they’ll still be pretty tasty. I would probably repurchase these again.

After trying them I found them to be flavorful but I hated the texture. Very chewy and the texture was hard to get past. I like that there were many different ways to cook them and most were quick. I usually eat them at breakfast alongside waffles or pancakes, since the two-link serving size provides some protein to balance out the carbs. They’re affordable, quick to cook, and work well in just about any method, from stovetop to microwave to air fryer. They do contain egg whites and sodium caseinate (a milk ingredient), and they also have wheat gluten. But if those fit your food plan, they’re a solid choice. With these sausage links, the balance of flavor, texture, and convenience makes them a dependable option. And at 9 grams of protein per serving, they’re filling without being heavy. I have tried lots of morning star products that I love, unfortunately this one is not my favorite. It has a mealy texture and was falling apart even in the pan. My husband described like this “it tastes like thanksgiving”. I think it has alot of rosemary and sage. Maybe to cover the lack of natural meat flavor? Either way, I think the links don’t seem to work well. Their patties are much better! Try them!

I’m vegetarian and while he does eat meat, he’s always happy to cook vegetarian for me. He made this sausage with boiled potatoes and roasted squash. He thought the sausage really made the meal come together. The taste was excellent! We will certainly buy this again.
