I had bought Morningstar veggie breakfast sausage links many times . I usually check for kashrus, cholesterol ,sodium etc but never looked at the fine print until today. I was surprised and disappointed to see a tiny little circle at the bottom rear that said bioengineered which is GMO. How many other Morningstar products are GMO???

Thanks for your review. I'm happy to share that the soy we use in all of our products is Non-GMO. Because we don't verify every ingredient, some of the other ingredients may or may not be GMO and that's why the little circle is on the package. We hope this helps.

These aren’t bad. Considering the ingredients, I’m not sure what kind of healthy alternative this is. It’s not vegan or GF (I’m neither) and at what point do you stop trying to imitate stuff with a bunch of non food additives. I’ve chopped and thrown into frittatas and scrambles, eaten as a side and can’t really figure out why if you’re staying away from animal products this checks any box. If I want a savory sausage substitute, I’d rather make my own mushroom crumbles seasoned appropriately. The only selling point is it looks like a sausage link. Not enough for me.

Favorite since chilhood. I grew up in the 70's & 80's and this is what was available to me then. I love the black pepper spiciness. I think that there might be some brands now that offer a better texture ( these can be a bit spongy) but nostalgia can't be beat for me on these.

As someone who doesn’t eat much meat and tries to avoid actual sausage at all cost, these are a life saver!! Do they taste exactly like meat sausage? No! But that’s because they’re not!! I still love the taste of these as they do taste very similar but I don’t feel absolutely grossed out eating them! (like i do normal meat sausage) The taste takes a few bites to get used to, I made mine in the air fryer, and I paired it with a hash brown and a blueberry muffin! Super filling and tasty! I’m used to getting the maple “sausage” patties from this brand but I think I like these more!

I have been enjoying Morning Star Farms sausage links ever since I saw them in my local stores over 6 years ago. They have the same delicious sage and spice flavors that make breakfast sausages so tasty, but are lower in fat and calories which is an added bonus. I also like that I can use them in recipes that call for pork sausage and the flavor will be just as good. I can serve my friends who don't eat meat a wonderful sausage that they will enjoy; they now buy them for their families too.
