New but not improved
New version is definitely NOT improved! Taste & texture are just terrible. Please bring back the old version which was a tasty & versatile substitute for ground beef in many recipes- if you must make a vegan version, please still make the old recipe too.

The new recipe is awful
I used the old recipe multiple times per week for several meals. This new “improved” recipe is awful. The flavor, texture, and consistency in cooking are terrible. I used the original product for several years, but I’ve now switched to a completely different brand because of how much this new recipe disgusts me.

Disgusting
Hate the new recipe! Literally went to 6 different stores to buy up all of the old ones before they restocked. I officially ran out this month and tried the new ones AGAIN and they’re terrible. Losing a loyal customer of 15+ years

The new crumbles are not good.
We've been buying crumbles for MANY years. We're so disappointed in the change. The texture is mushy & the flavor is weird. PLEASE go back to our beloved crumble recipe. We use them in chili, tacos, meat loaf & lots of other dishes & hate to have to find another brand.

Why change a perfect product
The new formula has an awful texture and taste. I'm disappointed I bought several bags on sale and there's no way I can finish them. They're that gross. Would give 0 stars if I could. Time to go back to lentils.

The dreaded New & improved Recipe
Once again I am so disappointed. I have been a customer for over 20 years and this is just upsetting. I used to have a Chik patty every day for Lunch, had to stop buying them because the New Recipe was so disgusting I thought they went bad, even bought another bag thinking that was the case, but nope! it was the new and "improved" recipe. Now the Crumbles :( we use them every week for Taco Tuesday. My son who eats meat thinks they are the best Tacos hes ever had. Tonight was the first time we used the new recipe and im sure it'll again be a product I have to search elsewhere for... Please consider all of these negative reviews. People are even expressing their disappointment all over Reddit. You're loosing money and long time consumers.

Go back to the old recipe!
Please go back to your old recipe! These are not crumbles, they are rubbery membranes. The old ones browned up, and had a good texture and taste.

New recipe is terrible
I have been eating these for 20+ years, they are a staple in my vegetarian diet. Since they updated the recipe to make it vegan I no longer buy this product. It is terrible and I haven’t found another brand that is any better. Very disappointing. Please bring back the old recipe!

Disappointed in the New Recipe
Bring back the original crumbles and make a select few for those who want to be vegan. You will make more money and have more happier customers. Whoever is in charge of this change, needs to be fired. I am very disappointed in this new recipe. It tastes horrible. I used to love eating it my tacos and cannot enjoy my crumbles anymore because of the taste. I cannot stand the taste. I am a pescatarian and relied on Morning Star to always have my back. This is disappointing. First you take away the sausage crumbles, now this. Please do not change anything else. If you want to fix something, start with putting more nuggets in the packages. Create something new, like pepporoni. Stop changing what works. Please and thank you.!

Yucky new recipe, not "improved" at all.
The "new and improved" recipe adds a weird burnt and bitter smoky flavor to everything it touches, overpowering everything else in a dish. Disintegrates into grey mush. It was my favorite product and now I'll just be switching to lentils I guess! Why do vegetarian companies do this? Why do they change recipes all the time for products that aren't broken?

New recipe is awful
The new recipe has a weird mushy texture and tastes terrible. Super salty but flavorless at the same time. I tried to use up the bags I bought before realizing the change, and they were terrible in every recipe. The old crumbles were my absolute favorite, I probably used a couple of bags a week, and they were so good you could eat them by themselves. Now I have to use Impossible or Beyond, which I don't like as well.

Use these in so many recipes
I use around 2 bags a week. They work in so many recipes. The stores where I have been buying them, are no longer carrying them. Disappointed about that. When I see them, I stock up.

New recipe is mid
I agree with everyone else saying the new recipe is horrible. The texture and taste has completely changed. The crumbles taste is so off, it's almost an olive-like flavor that I do not enjoy very much. Please revert the recipe. With haste!!

WHAT DID YOU DO? YOU RUINED ONE OF YOUR GREATEST PRODUCTS! It literally is unedible, unless heavily seasoned, I bought 4 packages for my burritos and it tastes HORRID. The texture is disgusting...!

Dislike new recipe!
I noticed the new recipe change right as soon as I even took it out of the bag. It's not crumbles anymore it's mostly a "crumble dust" there are a few big chunks when frozen but then when it cooks down (skillet) it all turns into a pan of absolute mush. I've been buying these crumbles for years and they are my go-to favorite vegetarian meat. I use them for tacos all the time and many other recipes. This new recipe is just not it. It cooks up really mushy and I would no longer call these "crumbles." I can't imagine using this in chilli or anything now because how mushy the texture is. Even with it being mushy, it somehow ends up kind of dry also? It's not overcooked, it just doesn't seem to hold moisture with taco seasoning/water like the old recipe. The flavor isn't as good either and it doesn't seem to take seasoning as well. I cooked it just how I cooked the old recipe and I could hardly taste my seasons, even with the exact same amounts. This wasn't an improvement in my opinion, I probably won't be buying these anymore and will need to switch brands for my cooking. These won't work for what I need them for anymore.
