WHAT DID YOU DO? YOU RUINED ONE OF YOUR GREATEST PRODUCTS! It literally is unedible, unless heavily seasoned, I bought 4 packages for my burritos and it tastes HORRID. The texture is disgusting...!

Dislike new recipe!
I noticed the new recipe change right as soon as I even took it out of the bag. It's not crumbles anymore it's mostly a "crumble dust" there are a few big chunks when frozen but then when it cooks down (skillet) it all turns into a pan of absolute mush. I've been buying these crumbles for years and they are my go-to favorite vegetarian meat. I use them for tacos all the time and many other recipes. This new recipe is just not it. It cooks up really mushy and I would no longer call these "crumbles." I can't imagine using this in chilli or anything now because how mushy the texture is. Even with it being mushy, it somehow ends up kind of dry also? It's not overcooked, it just doesn't seem to hold moisture with taco seasoning/water like the old recipe. The flavor isn't as good either and it doesn't seem to take seasoning as well. I cooked it just how I cooked the old recipe and I could hardly taste my seasons, even with the exact same amounts. This wasn't an improvement in my opinion, I probably won't be buying these anymore and will need to switch brands for my cooking. These won't work for what I need them for anymore.

New Recipe is the opposite of 'improved'.
The 'new recipe' is not good. It tastes more like other brands of crumbles. I bought Morningstar for the taste and texture, but if they're not going to be better than the other brands, then I might as well buy whatever is cheapest. It's not even that they tweaked the recipe to make it vegan (it already was) or to make it gluten-free (it's not) or soy-free (it's not). At least then I could feel like I was giving up something on behalf of other people. But I can only assume they rearranged the ingredients in a way to save money. Which is going to cost them in the long run, because I'm moving on to other brands now. I will savor the old packages I still have left in my freezer.

Disgusting New and Improved Recipe
this used to be one of my favorite foods before they changed the recipe. i would buy multiple packs at a time and was easily going through a bag a week. now, the texture and taste are completely different! i tried to hide it in things like casseroles and cover it up with cheese, but the new taste cannot be hidden and the texture makes everything worse. this was my favorite thing from morning star, i could just cook it and eat it straight out the bag with the original formula. don’t waste your money on the new one.

What happened?
These were my absolute favorite! Every shopping trip included at least one bag of these, but usually more. The new recipe is horrible. Please please bring back the old one. Why would you change something so amazing?

Disappointed
We bought these every week for decades. Now we can't even finish the bag of "new and Improved" flavor. Why change a tried and true favorite? You can see by the reviews that people are deciding to leave the product for anything that is better tasting than this product. Please listen to your loyal customers and bring back the original crumbles.

New Recipe is terrible!
The new crumbles recipe is terrible. If I could give this zero stars, I would. Go buy a different product from another brand. They should return to their old recipe.

Weird texture no flavor inedible
These now taste like sawdust. Every time I see new and improved on your label I know it's going to go terribly wrong. Please bring back the old grillers😩 I'm a lifelong vegetarian and these are a staple in our home! Please we are heartbroken.

Go back to the old recipe!
I used to love this product and use it all the time but the flavor has changed to taste like a Boca Burger flavor and I don’t like that at all.

Disappointed Customer
I thought I had purchased a bad pack so I opened another. Then I tried a different store. Same result. Please change recipe back or make both. I miss my tasty morningstar crumbles.

Bring Back the Old; Offer Two Different Products
My wife and I have enjoyed Morningstar Farms products for decades. One product in particular, Grillers Crumbles, has been an important part of our diet. It has served as a crucial element in our chili, tacos, spaghetti sauce, and hamburger dishes, and it has even been added to the top of pizza. Life was grand, until the recent release of the "New Improved Recipe". I think this was a serious misstep. It would have been much better to introduce the new recipe as a separate product, with a slightly different name. Admittedly, the new recipe does improve a few dishes, particularly for those related to pasta. The problem, however, is that it makes other dishes, such as chili and tacos, taste much worse. Chili with the old Grillers Crumbles was one of our favorite foods; we'd make it twice a week. With the new recipe, however, I just can't eat it anymore. I've even tried vegan crumbles from other companies for something that was closer to the old recipe. Sadly, our purchases of Grillers Crumbles will be dropping significantly. There is a solution, though. Bring back the old Grillers Crumbles (naming it something like Grillers Crumbles Original) and keep the new recipe as well, just under a different name (such as Grillers Crumbles Supreme). That way, we can have the best of both worlds.

Change the recipe back!!!
This used to be the base for my favorite food and I would use about 2 bags weekly. I have been eating this for over a decade and have tried to eat the new recipe a couple times, but it is so gross. I have not purchased in a few months now and will not buy again until the recipe is changed back, or at least offered again as an alternative flavor - why not have both? Please please please listen to your customers and bring back the original recipe that was perfect and delicious!

Absolutely disgusting
I thought the product had gone bad and checked the expiration date, only to find that the recipe had been changed. This used to be a huge staple in my diet - I’d go through 2-3 bags per week, every week for the past several years. Now I won’t be buying this unless the product is changed back.

Artifical "Smokey" Flavor
My family used to love these griller crumbles for years, but now with the new recipe change the flavor is completely off. We used to love how versatile it was, but now you can taste a distinct artificial flavor through any sauce or seasoning. We gave the new recipe a solid try before giving up. Won't be buying this unless they change the recipe back.

Taco Tuesdays at True Vegan's house!
These vegan crumbles pairs so well with shredded chicken when making tacos. Our family has fully embraced the vegan lifestyle and we are always on the prowl for great recipes! These crumbles also are a nice fit over juicy ribeye steaks. My 10 year old daughter adores these sprinkled over her scrambled eggs and sausage! We love the vegan lifestyle!
