Taco Tuesdays at True Vegan's house!
5 out of 5 stars
Thumbs up graphic, would recommend
True Vegan - 9 days ago
These vegan crumbles pairs so well with shredded chicken when making tacos. Our family has fully embraced the vegan lifestyle and we are always on the prowl for great recipes! These crumbles also are a nice fit over juicy ribeye steaks. My 10 year old daughter adores these sprinkled over her scrambled eggs and sausage! We love the vegan lifestyle!

This was a staple in our house but this new recipe is disgusting!! Go back to the old recipe please! I don’t get what the purpose of messing with something that was perfect was. It makes no sense at all!

This new recipe is awful. The old ones were excellent. Please reconsider. I used to love tacos made with these. I won’t buy again. Maybe you could call them “classic” crumblers? I’ll be on the lookout for them.

Despite all the negative reviews I found the Grillers easy to prepare and resulted in a tasty dish that included the new Grillers, lentil pasta, red and green peppers, a garlic clove, Newman’s Marinara sauce and a dash of parmesan cheese. Yum!😋

I went through several bags of this a month. I used it nearly every dish that would call for hamburger, but this new recipe is awful. Something tastes off about it in a way I can't quite articulate.

I have been eating Morning Star products since the 1990s. The crumbles are an integral part of several of my very favorite recipes. The new formulation is revolting. If I wanted that rancid undertone the flavor I’d buy Beyond Meat. I understand a desire to make it vegan, but I implore you to add back “original recipe”. New Coke was a disaster, and so is this.
They ruined a good product calling it "improved"

This new recipe is not improved. It just sucks. Please bring back the old recipe and leave it alone. I am the only non-vegetarian in a family of 5, so I do eat a lot of vegetarian food. This was something we would keep 15-20 bags in the garage freezer. now they just sit there since they are all labeled "new recipe." It is just horrible and tastes like boiled cardbpoard with old cheese. Dont mess up a good thing. Recall this crap and bring back the old recipe.

Super bummed about the new recipe. After loyally buying it for many years I will never buy it again. Ew. I thought it smelled weird when I was cooking it and then I tasted it. I thought it was a bad batch or something, then I saw the packaging and realized it was not me it was them.
New recipe is HORRIBLE!! Please change it back!!

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??? WHY would you change something that was actually a GREAT meat substitute to this inedible dog food??? I fed the old recipe to people who swore they hated "fake meat" and they LOVED this product, but that was years ago and I wouldn't even consider donating this to a local shelter. It's going in the trash. Listen to your fans and bring back the old recipe PLEASE. This "improvement" was a failed experiment, just give it up and help us feed ourselves and loved ones what we want and make this an alternative, if needed. (should just do away with it entirely, but whatever gets the original recipe back..."

My family and I do NOT like the new recipe. I used to love griller crumbles and would buy several bags at a time from the store to use in all sorts of recipes. Now we can’t stand them and I don’t purchase them anymore. No amount of seasoning can mask the new recipes taste. Bring back the old recipe!

Why morning star? Why would you change such a delectable recipe :( it is now inedible and bitter. A disgrace to the morning star name. I used to eat every last crumb of these crumbles. But no more. It’s bitter and almost expired tasting. I used to talk so highly of morning star to all of my meat eating friends. Now I’m just embarrassed…

Yucky and inedible. Was the biggest fan of older recipe and really wanted to like the MorningStar Grillers Crumble, but unfortunately, it completely missed the mark for me. The texture is dry and oddly rubbery, and no matter how I cooked it—whether sautéed with veggies or added to sauce—it never quite blended well. It has a weird aftertaste that’s hard to ignore, and it’s far from the savory, satisfying flavor you’d expect from a meat substitute.
DISGUSTING! MorningStar no long cares about us!

The new recipe is so DISGUSTING! MorningStar what were you thinking? Do none of you have taste buds? WHY WONT YOU LISTEN TO YOUR LOYAL CUSTOMERS? Please change your recipe back before we are all forced you leave your company forever. Until you do, I am sadly boycotting your brand. We used to feed our families with your crumbles. Your horrible decision is greatly affecting many of us negatively. What kind of company refuses to listen to their most loyal customers?
