The "New Improved" recipe is horrible. It burns before it gets fully warm. The texture is horrible. The flavor is truly gross. It's so SO BAD. Please CHANGE IT BACK. We want our Crumbles back. They where advertising the new lower price and you absolutely can taste they corners Morning Star Farms cut to make it cheaper. I have been eating Crumbles for years and I have always grab Morning Star before any other soy meat replacements. The new recipe ruined dinner and now my kid is crying. I wont buy Crumbles again until they change it back. They ruined the crumbles.

I bought a new bag of Grillers crumbles as I was getting low. When I cooked it prior to making a veggie Shepard’s pie I tried a little and was aghast as to how it was almost devoid of any flavor. I checked the bag and saw the dreaded “New Improved Flavor” label on the package. I had some crumbles (previous recipe) left in another bag in my freezer, so I heated some and compared it to the new recipe. Night and day difference. Tangy zesty and Full of flavor. The new recipe tastes like sawdust/wood chips with a minuscule amount of flavor. Truly terrible. Morningstar Farms have a history of ruining their products with new recipes that nobody asked for! Grillers Original was ruined a few years ago, and every now and then I’ll buy a bag to see if they’ve course corrected and they’re still awful. So far Grillers Prime hasn’t been ruined, but I have a bad feeling about this. I’m very disappointed at this new recipe that I find hard to believe anyone asked for. The cynic in me suspects “New Improved Recipe” is code or a euphemism for “Cheaper to produce”
Prefer the old recipe

This is the first time I’ve had the new recipe. It tastes like a fast food burger. It’s not exactly a BAD taste, I guess, but I strongly prefer the previous recipe.

I used to eat this all the time, my family and I loved it. Now with these changes it's just awful. It tastes bad and doesn't cook well and from the time you open it, it smells so very bad. I hate and now I have to find something else.

Hate the new recipes they don’t taste good at all. I’ve unfortunately had to switch to competitors when they made the change on their “chicken” line now I guess I will have to do the same here!

Not even vegetarian, just used to love the taste of these. Just made myself some tacos with it and genuinely I think it was one of the most disgusting dishes I’ve had. Bye morning star, going back to conventional meats for taco night I guess

You ruined this product :( Loved this for years and years and both myself and my entire vegetarian family has used it in all types of recipes and meals, but the “new improved formula” is HORRIBLE and tastes disgusting. After years of brand loyalty I will now be looking for alternative options, and judging from the rest of the reviews recently this is not an unpopular opinion. Please listen to your user base and change it back

I have been eating these for years. I just made some tacos and couldn't figure out why they were gross until I looked at the package and noticed New Improved Recipe. Why?? Hey we have a product that people love how about we screw it all up! Why mess with a good thing? You already ruined the Sausage Patties now the Crumbles! Are you just trying to drive loyal customers to other brands?

I have been using this crumbles for YEARS! And it has been my go to veggie crumble, but they changed the recipe. When I opened my bag you couldn’t immediately see it was changed. It felt chewier and the taste was bad. I ended up just throwing away the whole bag and what I cooked. Very freaking dissapointed that my favorite crumbles have no gone down the drain. Whoever decided to make this change needs to make a change as well. A career one. So awful. Never buying these again.

These turn to mush! What happened? I used to love this for taco salad, sloppy Joes, and other replacement for ground beef. Now, it pretty much dissolves and leaves a disgusting, slimy texture. I will not be buying this again. I only give it 2 stars, instead of 1, because it simply exists as a humane alternative to animal products.
