About the Book
An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstances. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break." - early Chinese belief This art book of imaginative, surrealist images by celebrated artist Soizick Meister is the second book about "Mr. M", a mysterious and imaginative dreamer.Arcane, evocative words and rich language are used to tell this new tale of Mr. M. Recently liberated from heavy memories and uncertainties, (struggles he overcame in "Mr. M and the Exploring Dreamer"), he realizes he is still missing something: compainonship. Imaginative, beautiful images depict Mr. M's search for someone who he loved long ago and lingers still in his mind. With an open heart and mind, he sends her messages. Using the early Chinese idiom of "the red thread" - the connection linking humanity to one another, as inspiration, Mr. M's messages take the form of mystical red threads. However, messages never take the place of meeting face-to-face, and ultimately, Mr. M must embark to reconnect with her in person. "Mr. M and the Red Thread", will resonate with all whose hearts have searched and struggled to find true love.

Review Quotes
"Have you looked at this book? It is just stunning - visually delicious! I'm keeping it on my coffee table. It calms me." - Susan Richmond, Northwest Book Lovers (for Mr. M the Exploring Dreamer) The author and illustrator weave together rich, complex and enigmatic story of Mr. M through the illustrations and the one accompanying sentence per page. The illustrations are amazing and promote curiosity and a feeling of searching. This book reminds me of Van Allsberg's work in that it is cryptic and mysterious. Or the Stonecutter by Jon J. Muth and John Kuramoto with each illustration accompanied by a single sentence together telling a rich story. It offers the opportunity for contemplation and imagination. - Michiko, Goodreads "Beautiful illustrations accompany the brief text." - Jeanette Marks, Teen Librarian, Michigan

She earned her degree in graphic design from the Design School of Basel and has worked for book publishers, magazines, and corporate clients, and on assignment as a photographer and illustrator in Greece, Spain, France, Germany, and the United States. Her paintings have been exhibited in France, Switzerland and Canada. In 2000, Meister moved with her family to Vancouver, BC, where, in her peaceful studio with a view of the Pacific, she can still be a daydreamer
