Q: How many MG’s of fish oil are in each “Half-the-Size” softgel? The bottle contradicts itself. It says 1,000 mg per softgel on the front, but 1,000 mg per 2 softgels on the back. This makes a BIG difference.
A: Hello - thank you for your inquiry. Where the front of the label says "1,000mg strength per softgel," it is referring to the amount of Omega-3 Fatty Acids, not the amount of oil, in each softgel; - Because the fish oil in this product is concentrated, the Target Guest receives the same benefit (or strength), 300 mg of Omega-3s, in one small 500mg softgel as would be found in a larger 1000mg softgel filled with "regular" fish oil. - In other words, taking one of these "half-the-size" softgels, which contains 500mg of concentrated fish oil, has the equivalent benefit (300mg Omega-3) as taking one large softgel filled with 1000mg of "regular" (non-concentrated) fish oil.

Q: Does this still contain the peppermint and essential oils to avoid a fishy after taste? It's not listed on the current list of ingredients.

Q: The Half-the-Size Fish Oil label on the front says 1,000mg strength per Softgel. The Facts on the back says serving size is 2 softgels but the amount per serving shows 1,000mg. Should this be 2000mg?

When referring to "per serving", it will show 1000mg for each serving and will not change with the number of servings. Here, per serving refers to 1000mg, which will remain the same regardless of serving size. For instance, a serving size of 2 would still remain 1000mg and will not display total consumption. As the fish oil is a natural ingredient, the breakdown of specific EPA and DHA levels may fluctuate somewhat due to variability in the fish harvest, so we do not declare specific amounts of EPA and DHA on the label. However, each batch of oil is tested by independent laboratories to ensure it meets or exceeds the total Omega-3 claim of 600mg per serving (2 softgels), or 300mg per pill.
