Q: Do you have to screw it into the door from or wall for pull up bar or does it just rely on tension so you can remove it easily when not in use and close the door.

This is insane. This product is actually fake. I got a completely defective item. Did they even measure this??? What happened to quality control? How did this get into the Target store? They packaged defective pieces. This is crazy. They’re two completely different sized pieces and one of them is even leaning to a certain side, this is crazy.

Great price; not 100% confident in quality.
The instructions are easy to follow but do not equal what the picture looks like, so I had to dissemble and follow how it’s built in the picture. The J bar specifically. Still would recommend, only time will tell how sturdy it is. My bf is 200lbs and it faintly bent when he hung on it.

Good for the price
For the money, this is a pretty good pull-up bar. I've been using for the last week and it seems pretty durable. The only issue when putting it together, you have to make sure you're using the correct long screws. They both look very similar but if not correct one side felt loose. Once I figured that out, it fit together perfectly.

Check door dimensions before purchasing
The product description doesn't state it, but this bar only works with door frames that are 10 or 13 cm wide. My 1950s door frames are only 6.9 cm wide and there was absolutely no chance of this thing stay up, much less being able to support a person. Had to return it and will search for another option.
