Q: Why does this say thatv it fits 24"-36" doorways when it is too big for a 24" door?!!

A: The bar is adjustable from 24.75 to 36.5-inches to fit different sized standard door frame.

Q: what is the purpose of the two small black plastic (1/2") pieces that come with it? They fit in the sides of the bar but since they stick out a bit it seems like it would make it less secure?

A: Those are for mounting down below on the wall, where you can do SIT-ups with your ankles underneath the bar that you've carefully removed from up above., That doesn't really work 4 me..... I'd rather just leave the pull-up bar up there, maybe use my stomach-muscles more -- for sit-ups...,. and it's important to read the description / instructions / handbook / sheet of paper that came with the pull-up bar 😄🍺🍻 enjoy !
