Nails Inc. Speedy Top Coat Nail Polish - 14ml

I have at least eight nail polishes from Nails Inc. because their formulas are so great, but this was my first time trying any type of extra step (base coat, top coat, etc) from the brand. I'm sure the "45 seconds" in the product name isn't totally accurate, but it does dry very quickly. The first time I used this I actually bumped a nail on my first hand right after I finished the second and there were no smudges or other marks at all. I'd estimate that it took me two minutes or less to apply the top coat to both hands, and that the top coat was definitely fully dry in about five minutes. The only issue I've had is more from the learning curve of trying a new product, which is that I didn't put as much on some nails as I could have so there's small areas on a couple nails with minor brush streaks. I learned that I can add a thicker layer than what I did the first time and it still dries very quickly. The formula has a nice thickness to it and it completely disguises and smooths minor marks/imprints that I've accidentally made in the nail color. (I'm not the most skilled with painting nails!) It's also super shiny and feels like a nice protective layer.

I’ve been doing my own manis for 20+ years and prefer regular polish. I grabbed this one for this quick polish changes late at night and it’s perfect for that. Goes on beautifully with tons of shine and I can be in bed within 2 hours and wake up with perfect nails. However, I feel my mani does not last as long. I will still use it because it motivates me to keep my nails done as it makes it a quick process.

But first I will say, the drying time was so fast that by the time I was done with both hands, it was dry. Which makes it so convenient. Also it doesn’t have a matte finish like you think it would with it being so fast drying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this as a top coat over my nail polish to see if it added any longevity to my polish and I am sad to report it did not. Unfortunately this is my nails after one full day of wearing the polish and after washing baby bottles. I’m a little disappointed they didn’t last longer than a day but I liked how easy it was to apply to my nails, it applied smoothly and wasn’t sticky. I didn’t feel like my nails dried in 45 seconds but they dried rather quickly.

I gave this top coat a run for its money by putting on top of a super glittery, textured polish (Mooncat: Malevolent) to see if it could self level easily, and appear super shiny. I does! It also dries super fast as advertised which I love. I usually end up messing my mani up somehow when the top coat is drying but Nails INC didn’t give me the opportunity to mess it up! Super excited to have this for my next couple manis bc I will definitely be using every drop.

The only positive with the nail polish is that it does dry very quickly. I didn’t time it for 45sec but it was rather quick. Nonetheless, the nail polish peeled off my nails within 24hrs. It has become a nuisance when I’m doing daily tasks and then boom….i see my polish halfway off my nail. Definitely would not buy this polish in the future.
