Got this for my daughter’s nursery and I was able to assemble it myself, pregnant, in a few minutes! Just a matter of locking a few pieces together and you’re done. Fits both myself and my 6’4” husband comfortably (not while sitting at the same time), and reclines back super far if you want to essentially lay down lol very happy with the purchase! I hope the rocking / reclining mechanisms stay quiet, I’ve heard some get squeaky after a while. Anywho — love the chair!

Waste of $700, Not for Everyday Use
I’ve had this recliner for more than six months and deeply regret this purchase. We refreshed our living room furniture in the winter, and I wanted a recliner. My wife doesn’t like the look of most recliners, but she liked this one. I’m a very short man (5’4), and my feet hang over the footrest. The claim that this is heirloom quality is almost laughable. The fabric pills, the arm rests are uncomfortable, and it’s certainly not water resistant. The included pillow looses it shape very quickly. This might be fine for a sitting room that is barely used, but this is not worth the price if you’re looking for something to have in your living room. I do not recommend this chair.

We've been using the Devon Recliner and Swivel Glider for a few weeks now, and it has truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment it arrived, it was clear that this piece was thoughtfully designed with both comfort and aesthetics in mind. The fabric is soft yet durable, and the warm, neutral tone blends beautifully with our nursery's decor. What sets this chair apart is its smooth gliding and swiveling motion-it's incredibly quiet, which is a huge bonus during late-night feedings. The reclining feature is easy to operate with one hand, and it provides excellent back and neck support. It's been a lifesaver during those long nights with our newborn. I also appreciate how supportive yet plush the cushioning is-it strikes the perfect balance between cozy and firm, which is ideal for extended use. Another big plus is that the design doesn't scream "nursery chair." It has a modern, clean look that will transition well to another room in the house once we no longer need it in the nursery. It feels like an investment piece that we'll be able to use for years. We've already recommended the Devon Recliner to several expecting friends. If you're looking for a glider that's both stylish and practical, I can't recommend this one enough. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really shine through, and it's clear that Namesake put a lot of thought into what parents actually need.
