No night mode! It’s so bright. I bought this so I wouldn’t have to use my phone all night. The first night I got the Nanit home display I ended up using my phone anyways because this product made my room so bright even with the brightness turned all the way down. Don’t buy this unless you can sleep with a full light on in your room.

Disapointed

Live feed is blurry. It is constantly disconnecting from WiFi. The battery does not last long at all. Would rather just use an iPad instead.

The battery life is so bad. Even on a full charge, it will still die midday. It basically always has to be plugged in which sucks

Nanit home display

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having two kids with a Nanit Pro in their respective rooms, I was so excited to receive this as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Immediately upon opening the box, I was impressed with the 8” screen - not too bulky but also big enough that I had a clear shot of both rooms. And the screen quality is clear and fantastic! It was very easy to toggle between each kids camera if I wanted and I was delighted to see that all the camera controls are available in Split View. In these cold winter months, monitoring my kids’ room temps and humidity is so important to me and these are indicated on the live feed the Sam way as the Nanit Pro. The auto dim feature is a major plus, as is the ability to take this monitor to my home office upstairs. It makes it so much easier for me and keeps my phone available to me while I worked. After using it for a couple of days, there ended up being an issue with the battery power and Nanit was amazing and so responsive to my request for help! After getting the replacement I have had no issues. With this monitor unit, as with most, the battery could be longer lasting. You can expect to keep this plugged in most of the time. I was already considering buying it - but would I buy this again? Absolutely.

So far my only complaint is the battery life! In order to use at night, the device must be plugged in to avoid dying. If using during the day for naps you can walk around with it but by the time you get your kiddos down for bed that night, it is already needing to be plugged in again.

Impressive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was able to check out the Nanit Home Display. Just to give you a little transparency before we dive deep into this product - I have had a Nanit camera for a little over 3 years now. I currently use it for 2 young kiddos. Let me be honest with you all - I love my Nanit products however I did feel a little unsure about how much I would love and use the Nanit Home. Would I really need something that I could just view on my phone? Let’s find out! The frame and stand look and feel durable. I really do like the feel of how it feels in my hands. Not too big. Not too small. Just right. The display and graphics look high quality and very clear. When on the stand, doesn’t feel like it’s going to slide all around on the tabletop. The software itself has many of the similar features as the phone app. Some of my favorite features is the double screen when you have multiple children (in my photo it shows that one camera is turned off). I love that it stays lit while you have it on your table next to you so you can just glance over and see how your kiddos are doing. Again, the quality is just impressive. They really thought of everything. Temperature, humidity, respirations, and even viewing their activity you track on your phone. I am able to see if my child is comfortable and safe. It puts me so much more at ease. I don’t think I have even talked about my favorite thing about this device. You don’t have to pay for an additional subscription to get access to use this! I love that I can just leave this at home when hubby and I decide to have a date night and the sitter has access to it without having to give them access. This is such a bonus to me and has made this totally worth it in my opinion. I was so impressed by the Nanit Home. I especially love that I can use my phone while I have my Nanit Home next to me. I love that I can just roll over, swipe the screen and check on the kids without having to get through a Lock Screen and then inevitably getting distracted by other games, apps, notifications. Highly recommend this accessory to go with your Nanit Camera!! 10/10 Thank you again Stellar Panel for allowing me to test this wonderful product!

Almost everything I have been wanting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been a "Nanit family" for about six years now and over that time have grown our collection to three Nanit cameras. One thing I love about Nanit is that I can continue to use them as my kiddos get bigger, even outside of the infant/crib stage. One thing I have always wished for, however, was some sort of parent monitor. My phone works, but it's great to be able to have a bigger display, as well as one that doesn't require you to be added as a "permissioned parent" to view. When the Stellar Product Testing Panel let me know that the Nanit Home was en route to me, I was positively overjoyed. It was everything I had been wanting! When it arrived, it definitely impressed my entire family with how sleek it looked. We were also impressed by how durable it was (unfortunately our 1 year old snagged it quickly and promptly dropped it on the ground-but with kids, these things happen). The video quality matched that of my phone- it is crisp, clear, and easy to see all the details while my kiddos are sleeping (or playing). I love how easy it is to switch between an overview where I can see all 3 cameras (in my attached photo you can see where I can watch two at once, but the third is easily visible if I slightly scroll to the right) and a wide screen view of just one particular camera. Sometimes you need to see that "closer" look on one camera vs the other (when my 1 year old seems to be stirring while my 3 year old is still out cold). I did think it was nice that the home screen showed some extra options on the side, but I found that I spent nearly all my time in the "live" screen so I could see multiple cameras instead. It was definitely nice to have a screen around our home. The battery life wasn't necessarily the best, so it does spend at least half the day on the charger, but we just made sure to put the charger in a central location (our kitchen), so it's still convenient even when it needs to be plugged in. The only two cons I have are that it seems to need to update often, and those updates always take quite a bit longer than the anticipated timer, and they also always log me out. I wish I could log in with a QR code, but I have to manually enter my password (which is ridiculously long) every time. The second thing is that I kept reading about a screensaver mode that would show nice images and play soothing sounds when we weren't actively watching the cameras. However, my screen just goes black when I'm not actively watching. I've went through all the settings and looked up everything I could online, but I cannot figure out how to turn this feature on. I think it sounds really cool, but the support available for the Nanit Home seems to be quite minimal. I am sure that will change as time goes by though. Overall, I still absolutely think my life, and Nanit setup, are better off with the Nanit Home than we were before. So while it's not exactly everything I've been wanting, it's pretty darn close.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While it is a little frustrating that the monitor wasn’t an automatic freebie with the camera (when we first purchased), the monitor is much more substantial than other brands so I can see why there’s an extra cost - it’s 8 inches and is similar to the size of an iPad mini, it’s got a nice stand that hides away in the back, and a really really clear screen with a great display and brightness adjustment. Most brands are the size of your phone and you have to put on glasses to see what’s happening, whereas the Nanit’s monitor is substantial and perfect for viewing your little one (though because it is so big it is a little bright in the middle of the night, but if you adjust the brightness down it’s not terribly bright). When I first bought my nanit camera I was hesitant because even though this camera blows the socks off all its competitors, I didn’t want to use my phone or a separate device. Well now that the monitor is here, let me tell you that there is no competition in the baby monitor world! The camera and monitor technology are so amazing. The monitor shows the temperature and humidity of the baby’s room, you can use it to talk to your baby, you can see your baby’s activity and at some point sleep history. I also love the size of the monitor because we have two kiddos and we can see them side by side with ease instead of having to switch back and forth with other brands. I received this baby monitor accessory from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I absolutely love it.

A Must Have Companion to the Nanit Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit Home 8-inch display has been an amazing addition to our nursery setup. The video quality on the dedicated display is excellent. It is clear, crisp, and detailed. Even at night, the clarity really stands out. I can easily see every detail in the room, which is incredibly reassuring when checking on my daughter while she’s sleeping. One of my favorite features is the Home Screen. Having the live video feed displayed alongside the room temperature, humidity, and sleep status all in one place is incredibly convenient. It gives me instant peace of mind, especially since my daughter’s room is on a different floor than mine. I don’t have to guess or open multiple screens to know she’s comfortable and sleeping well. This extra display complements our existing Nanit setup perfectly. It makes nighttime check-ins so much easier. I don’t have to fully wake up or reach for my phone. I can simply roll over, glance at the screen, and know everything is okay. It’s a small change that makes a big difference, especially during the night. Overall, the Nanit Home display is thoughtful, practical, and absolutely worth it for any parent using Nanit. A big thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor accessory!

The Perfect Accessory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the new Nanit Home 8" Display for free from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in return for my honest review. The Nanit Home 8" Display is amazing! It is exactly what I was missing from my Nanit system. I currently own 3 Nanit cameras and utilize them for monitoring my kids rooms beyond the first year of being in a dedicated crib. I absolutely love that this display screen can hold a charge beyond being exclusively plugged in. The built in kick stand is perfect for setting up on your dresser or night stand. I find that the screen is the perfect size for viewing even from a distance depending on how your furniture is arranged. Just like on a phone screen you can still do the split screen, full screen and adjust your volume and brightness. The clarity is very good both in daytime and night vision mode. If you have any fuzziness on the video I would highly recommend checking your WiFi connection on the cameras and getting an extender if your signal is weak. The home screen on the device also shows the room temperature and humidity. Notifications come through on the screen with a cute little chime to let you know to check for room motion or noise. I am expecting my 4th baby any day now and am really excited to be able to use this screen to see her crib/bassinet outside of using my phone screen. This was really the one accessory that was missing from the Nanit setup. Hopefully in the future it can be added as a bundle deal. I love all my Nanit products and recommend them to everyone! You won’t regret purchasing this new Home 8” Display as it really is SO much better than exclusively using your phone screen with the app.

Must have baby monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this product as part of Stellar Product Testing and so glad we got it. We love this monitor and the convenience of it! We have multiple Nanit and it’s great that we can see all of them from this portable screen. It gives great summary like the app and able to easily navigate multiple cameras. I do think it would be much better if we can configure which position/priority of the camera and if we can do a split screen with two cameras only. Other than these, this monitor is a great addition that we can display in common area, esp when we have guests who need to borrow our crib.

Sleek tablet for phone free monitoring

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stellar product testing panel provided a free nanit home 8" for my review. It feels like a very sleek tablet, boxed as a high quality tech item. It took only a few minutes to set up with my existing nanit account. I appreciate the USBC charging as we already have those around the house. The video is clear, especially the night vision, and it's intuitive to navigate the display features. I like not having to check my phone every time I need to look at the monitor as I'm trying to be on my phone less. It feels very similar to the app just not on the phone. We only use one camera so I can't speak to the split screen feature, but if that's what you need this would be an amazing addition to your nanit system. I'm not sure I would purchase it for just one camera because it does basically replicate the app experience which feels redundant. If you rely heavily on the monitor and like being able to see it at all times this would be very helpful to free up your phone.

Finally a standalone display for Nanit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy that Nanit produced a standalone display to complete my Nanit baby monitoring system. While the flexibility of watching your LO on your phone anywhere you are is invaluable, I hated having to install the app on my parents' phones and teaching them how to use it just so they could keep an eye on baby when they were taking care of him during the day for me. Now I just set this standalone display on the dining room table or kitchen counter and they can keep an eye and ear out for baby waking up. I love that the kickstand has a firmness so that I can adjust how angled I want the screen display to be. The video quality of the display is clear and comparable to what you see on your phone. The clarity at night was also comparable to what you see on your phone, but you might have to play with the brightness settings to suit your personal preference. For example, I liked a brighter screen, but my husband thought the dimmer screen helped. On that note, the only thing I mildly dislike about the brightness setting is that you have to manually adjust the setting as opposed to an adaptive brightness adjustment like phones and tablets typically have nowadays, definitely not a deal breaker. I don't obsess over it nearly as much as I did when my LO was a newborn, but it's a great feature to see the live feed inclusive of the room temperature and humidity although I think there might be a 1-3 degree delta at times. That might be our humidifier throwing it off though. What I like the most about this standalone display is that I don't have to keep my phone on all night, disrupt my sleep, and burn down my battery to keep an eye on my LO. The audio is clear and adjustable, and the brightness dims down pretty low. The other thing I really like about this is that I'm trying to teach my toddler that you shouldn't be tethered to a cell phone. Having this display helps that he's not seeing me on my phone to check on baby sister when he's awake beside me. We don't really do screens in general, but especially don't during mealtime. The display has a screensaver of a starry night that dims down and my toddler is currently in his star loving era so that's perfect for us. The only other gripe I have is that the battery icon doesn't have a number to tell you how much battery you have left. I've had the battery unexpectedly die on me a few times so now I just remind myself to charge it for a bit every day. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor accessory, it's exactly what we were missing with our Nanit baby monitoring system!

Great Addition to the Nanit Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This screen has be an amazing addition to our set up. There is so much to like about it, even though it is not overly complicated (Thankfully!) Setup was a breeze. Sign into your account, wait for it to update the software and you are off to the races. I have not has a single disconnection or any issues with the device itself. Charging via USB C is awesome and needed in 2026. The kickstand on the device is the entire width of the screen, which means that the screen is extremely stable no matter where you set it down. I also like that, unlike my phone, I can easily have this screen at an angle that I can see without having to touch the device. The size is awesome. Originally I thought it might be too big, but for anyone that had to zoom at all on your child, this makes all of that easier. There is also the home screen that easily displays the temperature and humidity which does make it easy. There is one issue that I have with the device. When the battery dies, the device just turns off. No warning beep. There is a red light that slowly blinks, that does indicate that the batter is low, but the battery level is not always clear. I think this is an easy enough software fix, adding the option for a beep or notification. Overall, this is how we are now checking on our child. It is nice to still have the phone as an option, but whether I want to use my phone for some doom scrolling or want to leave my phone in another room, I now have the option with the Nanit Screen. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor accessory.

Convenient and Reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit Home 8" Monitor Display has been a great addition to our home and is something I would definitely recommend. The screen is large and easy to see, and the night vision is crisp. I really appreciate the helpful stats it provides, such as how long my little one has been asleep and the room temperature. It has also been very convenient when we have babysitters, since they can easily use the display without needing access to my account. My favorite feature is not having to rely on my phone. I prefer to be on the unplugged side when spending time with my kids, so being able to monitor the baby during naps without carrying my phone around is a big plus. The main downsides are that the display is slow to turn on, and there is no audible alert when the battery is about to die. The first time this happened, it was alarming to realize the monitor had been off for an unknown amount of time. Despite those drawbacks, this display has been very convenient, making it a product I am happy to recommend. I was thankful to receive this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Great Accessory to Nanit System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I have the opportunity of testing out this baby monitor accessory. I only have one child to test it out on but I saw there was a feature where you can have split screens for two children. It’s easy to turn on and helps you step by step set it up. One thing about this monitor is that the battery life hasn’t been the best. It dies pretty quickly and needs to be charged fairly often although it is better than having my phone die and having to be on it all the time to watch my child. It’s nice having for date nights or if someone watches our child for a nap that they don’t have to download the app and can safely watch our child from the home display. The quality of picture at night is a tiny bit grainy but does the job and is easy to see what the child is doing! The screen shows your child, the temperature of the room, and a few other features that’s nice! The best thing about the home screen is being able to just have it set up on the night stand and having easy access to watch and check in on my child without having to look for my phone! Overall a great accessory to add to the nanit system!

This display changes everything

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby monitor accessory from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. As a Nanit monitor user for about 4 years I was very excited to try this display when I found out about it. Before it was great to be able to view my son’s crib on my phone from anywhere as well as get the video of sleep recap but this display changes everything. I previously resorted to giving our nanny or babysitters access to a tablet to check in on my son but I didn’t love that it gave access to everything on that device. Using this display is a HUGE upgrade. It’s lightweight and rechargeable so you can bring it room to room. Plus so nice to not always need my phone on me. In terms of quality it has a clear image and the display itself seems pretty sturdy, laying flat or on its stand. As I had a working login and monitor already, I found the set up and use super straightforward. I love that the display and app in general supports multiple cameras. A second monitor was the only item I asked for when I was pregnant again so I could check on my kids simultaneously. I love that the display allows the same ability to check in in real time but now on a bigger screen and not requiring a phone/tablet. Looking forward to when video history will be available on the display as well.

Very useful Nanit accessory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This display is great for not feeling tethered to your phone while you’re home with your baby, which I really appreciate as I try to avoid my phone during quiet time at home. The connection has always been strong, it loads and turns off/on very quickly so it’s very convenient. The design is nice and sleek like I would expect from Nanit and it also feels sturdy like it will survive a couple drops on the floor at the hands of a toddler. It’s a nice complement to our existing setup. The video quality was great in full light and in the dark - but in low light it was noticeably less crisp than on my cell phone but still very good and serviceable. Having room temp and other stats on the Home Screen was nice and it seems to update in real time providing peace of mind. The only minor issue is it lags a couple seconds and this doesn’t happen on my cell phone. Not sure if it’s an issue with my internet or the hardware. So happy I was able to receive and review this as part of Stellar Product Testing Panel - it’s great monitor display.

Highly Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have owned a Nanit camera for the past 18 months and have loved it. We just purchased a second camera because we are expecting a second baby in February. We have used our phones until we recently received the Nanit Home 8" Display from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We absolutely love the display and wish we had purchased it when it was released. One of the main reasons we love the Nanit is the quality of the camera and image at night. The display quality is better than expected. It looks better than on my phone. I love the display!!! We keep it on our family table, and everyone can easily view it. The display is nice to have because I do not have to keep switching apps on my phone to view the camera. I love how you can easily tilt the display with the stand. You can adjust it to any angle. My mom watches my daughter while we are at work, and we were using an old phone to watch the camera. Whenever we had family over and my daughter was sleeping, they kept asking to look at my phone to see her sleeping. My family loves the display and the easy access to view my daughter while she naps. It is definitely better to have the larger screen to view my daughter's nap. I constantly zoom in on my phone to make sure shes breathing. I dont have to do this on the display.
