Buyer Beware. Do not buy the screen!
The Nanit monitor is the biggest waste of money. You know it's bad when we realized Nanit doesn't allow anyone to leave reviews for it on their website. The battery life is terrible. But what is most noticeable is the CONSTANT need for updates. I mean it feels like every other day an update is required. And it doesn't do it on its own. It does it when you take it off the charger to move with you and it tells you need an update. During an update the device is not useable. Do not waste your money on this. Just use your phone.

Poorly made
This product fails weekly and I have to reset it. I am concerned that at some point it will just stop working. I don’t know if mine is just defective or if this is a common issue.

Terrible software design
This has a useful niche but is poorly designed. It’s obviously too expensive and you can just use your phone or another tablet. We like that we can have our nanny use it without adding her to our account, or needing to take out her phone. But why is the software so bad?? Everyone who has this has a smartphone, so are the volume up and down keys reversed from other devices, and why does the power button not just turn the screen on and off (hint: it turns it off but it comes back on by itself, when or why is impossible to know). Why do you have a home notification screen as if it is a cell phone?? This could be 4/5 (minus one for the price) if it wasn’t such a pain to use.

Not worth the money
It’s deplorable that this cost $180 for a crappy monitor that loses battery so quickly!! For that amount of money you could get some many other monitors with a camera. Not worth it at all. This should not cost more than $30 at best.

Only lasted 7months.....
Short battery life- max 4 hrs without being plugged in. So have to constantly keep it on the charger overnight, I bought this in February of 2026, it’s already died on me. The screen got weird static/pixelated and an annoying sound that scared the crap out of me at 3am, and keeps popping up like this even with the app/firmware updates. For the price of this monitor- it should last me more than 7 months.. I would not recommend. However I do love the camera and using my phone as the monitor instead I guess now

Not worth it
I have to charge the monitor daily and almost every time I turn it on it asks for a software upgrade. It also freezes on a regular basis and I have to use the app on my phone. For the price of the monitor, I would have expected a much higher quality product.

I never leave reviews but felt compelled to for this garbage item because it frustrates me so much. I am not exaggerating when I say EVERY TIME you reboot this it requires an update. Seriously. It's ridiculous. And the battery doesn't last long for what's supposed to be a monitor you use for overnight. Don't waste your money!!

the battery life is so disappointing. it doesn’t even last through one entire night. for an item that’s incredibly expensive you would think the one thing it provides to families is an entire night of being able to check on your baby without worrying about the charge. 12 hours should be the bare minimum.

I’m glad Nanit finally came out with a display, but I wish they had spent a little bit more time on the quality of technology especially for the price. All of Nanit items are usually very good, but this tablet loses battery so quickly and has no power off setting unless you fully turn the tablet off. I’m just really shocked that this is the best they came up with.

I’m pretty disappointed in this item. It is definitely one of the most expensive brands to go with yet the battery life is AWFUL and it tells you to update the monitor almost every single time it turns on. Incredibly frustrating to spend this much on an item for it to need to be on the charger at almost all times.

I LOVE the Nanit cameras. I’m having baby number 2 in 2 weeks. I thought this would be amazing but this product is miserableeee. It doesn’t stay connected to the internet, it doesn’t work half the time, it requires updates multiple times a week. It’s awful. I’ll just use my iPad.
