I was looking forward to receiving my baby monitor. Instead I was sent an Apple Watch cover. Target couldn’t even manage to send a remotely similar item as a mistake. Now I have to process a return and hope the correct order arrives. Just what I want to be doing at 8 months pregnant trying to prepare for my child’s arrival.

One of my biggest fears is that my baby is going to stop breathing in her sleep and before this monitor, I was constantly having to sneak into the baby’s room and put my hand on her stomach to make sure she was still breathing. With the Nanit, I feel like it is doing that for me, as when I had it wall mounted, it was able to monitor her breathing. I haven’t had a chance to use the flex stand, but I’m sure that will come in handy. I also love being able to share cute moments like when she is doing patty cake in her crib or dancing with family.

Setting it up is very easy with very little guidance from instructions needed. It really adds a sleep and expensive look to my baby's nursery room. I also love the feature of being able to know he's breathing perfectly fine and not having to walk into the room to check while also possibly disturbing his sleep. Finding the perfect baby monitor can be a daunting task, this bundle has it all and takes the guess work out of. It came at a perfect time where we ended up traveling unexpectedly and was so easy to use and transport. It even came in handy when baby was napping in another part of the house as it has the portable feature which helps make life easier for spontaneous naps. I love the two way audio feature, as I can soothe baby until I can get in there with him. I also really enjoyed being able to check in on baby via the app while Dad and I are on a date night and he’s with his sitter. The app is user friendly and the video is great quality in daylight or in the dark. It’s the perfect baby monitor.

The monitor we had for our first was very simplistic and did the job, but wow, we didn’t know what we were missing. The Nanit technology can differentiate between motion, sound, and crying, and you can choose to receive notifications for each (great peace of mind for me as a more anxious parent). This also allows you to track their nights of sleep and know how long their stretches were! The video history feature is beyond special to have these moments with our newborn to cherish that we otherwise would never get to watch back. I also love the breathing band, it has worked perfectly for us and allowed me to truly rest peacefully when my daughter was out of our room and in her crib in her nursery. The on-the-go stand is a must-have for me; now, I have much more peace of mind thinking about hiring a sitter or mother’s helper, since we can use it as a nanny cam and I could watch from my phone! It is also so nifty since we are a family that travels. Easy to set up and tear down. The app has worked seamlessly for us; I love seeing the recaps of my daughter’s night and seeing the videos of me and my husband laying her down! The crystal clear picture is reassuring and often find myself opening the app just to peek in on her sweet face. We have not had a chance to use it on the go yet. But we will be bringing it with us on our cruise this Christmas and are excited to use it and have our family and friends see the ease of using it as they will be assisting us in watching her. Our daughter is 10 months old. The features that are most effective for us at this stage are the two way audio. Our baby struggles to be left alone in the crib. However, hearing our voices can often reassure her and has assured us in transitioning her into staying in her room independently. The flex stand is genius! Our baby is staying in the crib at the moment so we do not have to move her monitor too often. However when she was an infant we were constantly moving throughout her nursery, our bedroom and the living room. Having the flex stand would have been a great tool to help us in navigating moving room to room while continuing to have the safety of a monitor. As a new mom, I had tons of health anxiety around my baby's sleep and sleep safety in general. I found myself not being able to get an effective night's sleep because I was constantly waking up and going to the other room to check on our son. Wasn't good for any of our sleep habits, really. Since receiving this, I can't explain how nice it is to finally feel a bit more comfortable leaving him in his own crib in his room and not feeling that dreaded "I wonder if he's ok" feeling. I easy pull up the footage from my devices and go back to sleep. To save my phone battery, I do use an iPad to have a constant screen next to my bed. The two way audio has been a lifesaver. My husband and I work opposite shifts so it's great to be able to tune in and keep an extra eye on baby and alert him quickly directly through the camera audio if I catch anything. I also use it to soothe my baby as I make my way to him. The breathing motion monitoring is my favorite feature, by-far! I monitor my baby from work or even from the next room during nap time. It gives me such a piece of mind to physically see him breathing and know he is ok. I also like that it's not going to ride up to his face or be a hazard at all. I also love being able to go back and view the sleep dashboard to understand my baby's sleep patterns, understand his night routines, and keep an eye on room temperatures (**though pls note, I have noticed they are not always accurate) to make sure he is comfortable. Its truly the cherry on top for baby analytics. We even get smart tips for making sure we are improving or baby's sleep routine for maximum rest (for all of us)! I don't use the diaper log feature but I definitely see how it would come in handy for parents to track changes, especially with multiple little ones! I will say occasionally, there is a bit of a delay or connection problems tuning into the camera. However, I do live in a bit of a remote area so connectivity issues may just be due to our Internet situation. I'll also knock off a point because we tried to take it with us on a family trip and found that we aren't able to connect when it's a sign in type of wifi like at a hotel. The set up of both the camera and the flex stand was easy. I'm a "let my husband do the setup" type of person (lol!), but with this one, it was simple and easy. When we have family over or someone else caring for him, it's also easy to take with us to another room or area of our home. This is my first time using a baby camera with WiFi and I have to say, I do love it. I have 4 kids and had my first baby in 2017 and since then, I always used a traditional baby camera/monitor. I’ve never seen or used one where my phone could be the monitor and I was a little nervous at first, but let me break down why I find it so amazing and why I wish I had this sooner, especially as a first time mom. First off, the fact that both my husband and I can each have our own Nanit app on our own phones is amazing. The video quality is 1080p HD so it is extremely clear, even at night. We mounted the camera right above the baby’s crib so we have a perfect, bird’s eye view of her sleeping or moving around. I really feel like I can’t say enough about how great it is that you can access the baby camera from anywhere. My husband works from home but travels frequently and now he feels better connected, being able to check on if baby is asleep and see how well she’s sleeping. He can even talk to her with the 2-way audio. It gives him a sense of comfort and normalcy while he’s away. I love that now when I go outside to play with my other kids, I don’t have to worry about an old school monitor being out of range from the camera and not working. The Nanit works everywhere. This also makes traveling a breeze because you only need to disconnect the camera from the wall mount and put it on the flex stand and you’re all set to use it at your destination. The camera itself was extremely easy to install and set up the camera/app. I love that the camera wall mount blends seamlessly into the wall above the artwork above my baby’s bed. The cable covers are truly genius. I am someone who gets overstimulated easily with cords so being able to conceal them in an aesthetic way, is brilliant. It was also very easy to do this but if you need help, Nanit has a lot of really great videos on their YouTube channel. The reason I wish I had this sooner (besides making my life easier) is ALL of the analytics that you get. My husband and I are huge data lovers and we truly appreciate this aspect. There are other apps out there that can track diaper changes, wake windows, feedings, etc. but that would mean using an additional (inferior) app to Nanit’s. Not only can you add the care logs, but you also get all the insights on sleep: when baby went to bed, woke up, sleep efficiency, visitors, crying, coughing, etc. The fact that you can track that daily, weekly, and monthly and notice trends is amazing. You can look at the insights when you are sleep deprived and forget when baby last went to bed or if they’re sleep cycle trend is changing and maybe you need to adjust their schedule. And speaking of sleep deprived, there is a nightlight on the camera! It’s just bright enough that if you’re doing a middle of the night change and feed, you can turn it on so you can see without it being too bright and jarring for you and baby. My baby is too old for monitoring her breathing motion with the Breathe Wear, but this would have given me such peace of mind as a new mom. It’s such a great feature for babies 0-3 months old (as long as baby is not rolling). The Nanit Anywhere Baby Monitor Bundle is truly amazing and I wish we had it sooner. I would definitely recommend this and my husband has actually already recommended it to his co-worker who is getting ready to be a dad too.

As a stay at home mom, I mostly use the Flex Stand in the playroom so I can keep an eye on her while I’m around the corner doing laundry or making dinner. It’s so easy to move around, so we also use it as our travel monitor when we’re on trips. It’s small enough to easily throw in a suitcase with minimal parts, pieces, and wires. Previously, I was using an Owlet camera for my baby, and I must say I genuinely prefer the Nanit now! The Nanit cam was extremely easy to set up and the picture quality is amazing! I love the ease of using the app. The information Nanit provides on the dashboard gives me so much more insight about my baby’s sleep and routines. I love knowing which areas of his crib he prefers, how many times he woke through the night, and how much quality sleep he is getting. I also love watching the summary videos of his nights! I was a little disappointed that the breathing band was too small for him at 9 months old. I was also disappointed that the camera features are behind a paywall that is rather expensive. I think for the price point of the camera and other accessories, all features should be available without charge.

It is extremely easy to set up and the app is simple to use. I have peace of mind being able to see my children from the app on my phone, but we also can pull it up on other devices too. You can change the sound settings to work in the background while you still use your phone, so you don't feel like you're missing anything. You can even have a tiny window stay on your screen while you use your phone. I love the nightlight feature and use it every night during bedtime. I love that you can change the brightness level. I also love that it can play nature or white noise. We use the talk-through camera feature with our toddler almost daily! He is able to hear us and understand us without difficulty. The Anywhere Stand is so nice for taking to another room in the house or over to a friend or family members house! The quality of the video is really great! I also love that I can look back at motion or sound detected with the Insights plan. My favorite feature is the breathing band though. As a parent, we all freak out and wonder if our babies are still breathing. This band solves that fear and let's me sleep better at night. We loved the camera so much, we bought a second one for our other child. I love that we can split screen and see them both!

But what I love about the Nanit and corresponding app is that it’s an “all a one” device that fulfills so many of our needs. I use the Nanit with the flex stand to monitor my 13mo son, who still sleeps in our room. We track his feedings, diaper changes and nap times all right in the app. I’ve been loving the white noise and adjustable nature sounds that I play straight through the app. The adjustable nightlight on the monitor has also come in handy as we don’t need to turn on any room lights to wake our son. We can also track his breathing with the breathing band. It’s been so convenient to be able to have everything in one place!

First, I love that it connects to my phone and I don’t have to carry around a separate device to watch my baby. The app was very easy to set up and is user friendly, and the picture is really clear! Because I am renting and cannot drill into walls, I was so glad to have the flex stand option so I could still use the monitor in baby’s room, but also take it on the go when needed (I plan to take to grandma’s house and on vacation). The only bummer with the flex stand I noticed is that it doesn’t provide detailed notifications such as “baby standing”, “baby out of bed”, or “sleep insights”. when connected to the flex stand. I do still get noise and movement notifications, so that’s been fine. Another thing I find helpful is the two way audio, that way if I can’t get to my baby right away, I am able to talk to her to calm her down. My bundle also came with a breathing band that you wrap on baby as a newborn to monitor breathing. I really look forward to using that with my next baby as I’m an anxious mother and it’ll put me at ease.
