Q: I'm also curious to know what the range is between the camera and the parent screen? How far can you go and still be connected to see the baby?

A: The box says up to 1000 ft. Other vtech models said up to 650 ft. So far, the range seems good. I have not had issues with connection throughout all rooms in our house.

Unusable monitor, unstable connection. Can't be trusted overnight

Seems to be a common problem with this model, which is maybe why it's so cheap. The connection just eventually fails, just from first to second floor, not even a basement or out on the deck. So, you can wake up in the middle of the night and see it blinking that it's disconnected, just have to sneak back in to the baby room and unplug/plug in the monitor. Buy a different monitor.

Night light keeps turning on

Loved the camera until a couple weeks of usage then the camera started turning on its night light. The light turns on no mattee if its off and not automatic. Contacted the manufacturer and nothing has been done about the issue. On redit there is talk about this being a constant issue. I would not recommend this camera unless you want to always have the light on

It was amazing and we loved it until around 8 months later because it will not connect to the parent monitor anymore. Everything lights up and acts like it should be working but it will no longer connect and Target won’t send a replacement because it’s “out of the return window.” Told me they could help me with my claim, transferred me to another rep just to be told I could contact VTech directly.

Best monitor, so easy to install, use, and has a long range. We had the most expensive baby monitor before that went over WiFi and it always stopped working. This works no matter what, no issues, and just plug and go. The only negative is the monitor doesn't have a kick stand and sometimes falls over.

We had an Infant Optics monitor for our daughter. After a year, it died. We bought this monitor as a replacement and we’re honestly a little skeptical because the reviews are super mixed on all the vtech monitors. However, this monitor is honestly better than our old one and was a fraction of the price! The screen is bigger and clearer. Audio is good. Wish we had just gotten this one to begin with.

I don’t know why this device has some mixed reviews. So far I’ve had it for about 2 weeks and the battery life is good. Obviously over time it will deplete but for now it lasts me up to 5 days. Sound and video quality are good too. I love that it reads the temperature in the room and that I can zoom in. Great device for the price. I guess my only complaint is that the camera has to stay plugged in to connect to the hand held device. But thats no biggie for me. Keeps the fees going and I don’t have to worry about battery depleting on the camera. As far as the camera falling over. I don’t have that issue. The cord does make it slide around on a slippery smooth surface but. I haven’t had it tip over.

This is a great baby monitor and camera setup! Price wasn’t bad either! I love the nightlight option and being able to change colors. The range is really good! I can walk outside and it still reaches. It picks up sound very well as well. Picture is clear and you have zoom options. It’s easy to use!

I love the baby monitor. Only dislike about it is built in stand on the back is horrible. It always tips over, even on a hard, even flat surface. It's really annoying. Other than that, I love it.

Amazing product for the price! Picture clarity is great, the nightlight is a soothing tone, and the fact that I can get notifications on my phone tops it off! I didn’t like the fact that you can’t mute the notifications (any little thing sets it off), and also dislike the fact that it doesn’t swivel. Other than that, a great buy!

I had the infant optics brand & ended up dropping it and breaking the lense. I took a chance on this one & oh my gosh-it’s SO much better!! Highly recommend. The picture quality is better along with the sound and the screen is twice the size of infant optics. It just looks more expensive. I’m so pleased with this purchase.
