Ok camera, terrible app support
The vtech app never works so unless you plan on carrying around the provided tablet screen I would not recommend any vtech cameras. I’ve opted to write a review on a different platform every time my cameras app doesn’t work.

Doesnt last long
Sometimes works good other times not. The app to view from phone stopped working after a couple months. Now, the entire monitor will not work or connect to the camera after 1 year. It’s a very expensive camera to pay for the extra features like mobile access or monitoring with or without wifi for it to only last 1 year.

I would give it negative stars if i could
Got this as a gift and used it for 2 weeks and the monitor no longer charges. Already did the trouble shooting and called VTech support and no one’s helped me. They said they sent a label for me to ship back (which would even take 14 days) but I haven’t received anything. I’ve called 4 separate times and nothing has happened. Would not recommend. It’s more of a headache than anything.

Unreliable
less than a month later and it's already stopped working..I can never get a signal for the camera to connect to either the monitor or the app. We reset it and it works for a couple hours then disconnects again. VERY frustrating

Would buy again
So useful that you can use the actual monitor or you can download the app to watch the camera from anywhere. We also have thick concrete cinderblock walls and the monitor still will connect to the camera from across the house.

Do not buy
This camera is horrible. The video quality sucks, it’s constantly “offline” and the videos never load on the app. Listen to your gut and just get the “better” camera because this one is a total waste of money.

Horrible vidoe quality
The video quality is extremely poor especially in the dark. You can barely tell where your child is in the crib let alone what they are doing or if they are okay.

Stopped working after software update
Our camera completely stopped working after downloading a software update. When my husband called customer service, they confirmed that it did indeed stop working after the software update, but there was nothing they could do about it because it was outside of the 90 day warranty. Their solution was to buy a new one - definitely will not be doing that!

Great at first, then was terrible
This monitor is “rated very well” on all the sites but it’s terrible. The night vision stopped working, and the camera quality is sub par. I had an all state protection plan and received a new one and the new one broke after a week. The parent unit (screen) is also made very cheaply and is easy to break, after one fall off the night stand, the antenna snapped and is now hanging by a thread. I wish the all state plan would allow us to get a different brand but they won’t.

OK... for a while
Got this new as a baby shower gift. Monitor was decent for a year (lost signal occassionally, but a reboot would fix the problem), but then just got stuck on the startup screen one evening. Nothing will make it work now and Vtech support just said "Sorry - you're out of the one year warranty; go buy a new one." You will want your baby monitor to last more than a year. Don't buy Vtech.

Lots of issues
When working properly, its a great monitor. Unfortunately, it rarely works properly. My original purchase suddenly stopped working in the middle of the night. I could no longer connect to the camera via the included display unit, or via the app. I contacted support and they sent me a replacement very quickly. The replacement worked alright for a few months. We started having issues with connection again. Resetting the unit fixed this problem. Eventually, updates started causing issues. Everytime an update was pushed, my settings would change. The video was very dark, and the display would cut off without warning.

Using for the 2nd time
Easy to use, great zoom and picture quality. Used for my first son (now 4) and now using for my second. Lasts forever! Only downside is the alert sound can't be turned up or down. So it's just kinda loud.

This monitor is great overall! The ability to scan the entire room is awesome. I’m deducting one star because it won’t stop asking if I want to connect to wifi. A reminder pops up multiple times a day. If I wanted this thing connected to wifi, I’d connect it.
