Q: Am I the only one or is this unit super low Volume I have both camera and parent unit on high volume and I could barely hear anything I have to keep putting the parent unit in my ear to hear a bit better unless I got a bad batch

It was great until the stand broke with the 1st month of use and small pieces of plastic fell off the unit for a few days. Then at just past the 1yr mark the electric jack & cord stopped working together. VTech offered my a 15% off coupon if I purchase from their site. If I had called under a year might have gotten a replacement. This is my 2nd dual camera set from VTech in 3 years. Not great odds for the price!

This camera system is IDEAL for two kids. Love the camera features (zoom, pan, tilt, etc.) and absolutely love the monitor. Awesome that it can rotate between cameras while turning screen and sound off while no noise is detected. These features together are hard to come by! While I love this monitor it has very annoying flaws. FREQUENTLY the signal goes out. Sometimes I need to reset the cameras, which can be an issue if I have to go into a sleeping child’s room. And the kickstand to set it up broke almost immediately.

We loved this at first. The monitor size is great, but the range is terrible and we regularly experienced connectivity issues. We’ve only had it about 2 months and are having to buy a new monitor (different brand). I wouldn’t recommend.

Don’t buy these! They are TERRIBLE. They never connect and the app feature does not work. I’m so upset about these cameras that I had to warn other parents to not waste their money on them. Only bought these becuase our toddler broke our monitor and I needed a camera asap. Don’t buy these! Terrible!!!

When it works, it's great and we love the features....BUT we have had to replace this monitor TWICE in 2 years. The first time was JUST over the manufacturer's warranty, so I bought another one, and a 2 year protection plan. Now it's just shy of the one year mark, and it has stopped working again! Same issue as before. It gets stuck on the start up screen and keeps rebooting forever. We can get a replacement with the warranty, but now we have to be without a monitor for a few weeks while we ship.it back.and wait for the replacement! Ugh! DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND!

Connectivity issues, terrible battery life, stopped working entirely 2 years in

Loved this monitor at first, then a couple months later we started having connectivity issues. We have to constantly reset the WiFi connection. A year in, the battery life on the monitor itself went. It has to be plugged in at all times. Two years in and I woke up to my daughter almost hyperventilating she was so upset because apparently the sound is now no longer working on the monitor and I couldn’t hear her crying for who knows how long. Now we have to go out and buy a new baby monitor today to use at 2.5 years old. What a waste of money.

This is probably the fourth or fifth brand name monitor we’ve tried, and it is BY FAR the best. Annnnd it’s the most affordable. The screen is huge, the range is further than any other one that came highly recommended to us. None of our other monitors can stay connected if we bring the monitor in our room which is across the house. The cameras rotate and can get the perfect angle to see your babies. Definitely 10/10

Soooo Dissapointed

I really wanted to like this camera. But we dealt with connectivity issues from the first few weeks which eventually I would be able to fix but finally last month the camera stopped working after only 4 months of use and 8 months since I purchased it. I liked the picture quality & the wide angle but not worth all the issues. After calling into customer service it’s going to take almost 2 weeks and another 40 min on hold to get a replacement. Not worth it to me at this point, going with another monitor. Also on the monitor parent console the little tab to stand it up cracked. Poor quality overall.

I loved this baby monitor and the large screen. But just one year of using it and one of the baby units started flickering in and out of night mode so couldn’t see my child. Called vtech and since it’s been just over 1 year they only offered 15% off a new unit. BS! Won’t buy vtech again. After seeing all the other reviews looks like it happens a lot

Why not to buy: -the cameras constantly disconnect and you'll spend most of your time laying in bed wondering if your monitor is actually working -the dual screen only detects audio on one camera. Hopefully only your selected child cries overnight The premise of the monitor is great. 2 cameras on one screen...great right? The execution is extremely disappointing. This monitor malfunctions more than it works

New and malfunctioning

We bought the double camera vtech monitor when we had our second kid. We’ve been using it for less than 4 months and one of the cameras is already malfunctioning. It flickers on and off when it’s on night vision mode.

Lasted less than a year.

Worked great while it lasted, but in less than a year the parent unit stopped working. Its stuck on the welcome screen which looks like a known issue due to it being listed on the FAQ on website, however the reset button does nothing nor does the other instruction. Don’t waste your money unless you’re fine with repurchasing once a year :)

Perfect addition to our nursery

Two cameras provide a variety of angles, and the app makes it so easy to check on our daughter any time. There are lots of different settings in the app that we don't even use, but may come in very handy for other parents. I love that you can record videos and take screenshots. And the monitor is the perfect size and easy to carry around the house. We've had hardly any issues with connectivity, and they were mostly attributed to our router.
