This product was terrible. The night light feature on one monitor wouldn’t turn off, couldn’t reset. reached out to V tech and they didn’t have an answer. The same camera would have such a lag and have incorrect room temperature. It was a joke. Also monitor would be plugged in all day charging, take it off and it only had 3 bars and would need charged everyday. Don’t waste your money.

This one by far is the best we have had , I wish the battery would last longer on the mini monitor but that’s something minor . The picture is pretty clear and it has night settings. You can have the motion sensor on so it will beep if the baby is waking up or moving around ! It also has a temperature setting and it will notify you if the room is to cold or to hot ! 10/10 will Always recommend it !

We had a previous vtech monitor before having our second that worked well. We decided to upgrade and have been dealing with constant issues. The picture can get blurry even off of WiFi and there is a pretty severe delay. Now, one of the cameras stopped pairing with the screen. Not happy.

I'm surprised the ratings are so high for this item. When there is no movement, the cameras must go to sleep or something because several times in only two days of owning, I have noticed I am looking at a still picture, not a live video. This has happened on Wi-Fi and when using only the monitor and cameras connection, on the app, and on the monitor. I have to close the app, change cameras, or otherwise "wake up" the system to get a live video again. Several times already, movement has been going on that would have been concerning but I didn't know because I was looking at a still picture. Same happens with sound. There will be no sound, when in reality, there is a cry. I will be returning!! Other basic cameras or a Ring cam are a better option to this. I have excellent wi-fi and am in very close proximity to cameras, at times in the same room. There is no excuse!! I don't have this issue with my security cameras.

I just bought this because it was on sale to replace my old vtech single camera unit. I am disappointed because the sound is extremely low! You can barely hear the beep sound when the camera detects motion or sound. There is no vibrate feature when sound or motion are detected like on my old monitor which is a huge down side as my husband is hearing impaired. Kickstand does an ok job, downgraded from my old monitor. The only pro is the LCD size and pan feature, but what does it matter if you can’t hear the monitor when baby falls off the bed or moves around and needs assistance. My toddler fell off her floor bed tonight and the beep was so low I didn’t hear it at all. Thankfully it was close to my wake up time to check the monitor on my own and placed her back in her bed. Overall, do not recommend at all.

Horrible monitor. Extremely blurry and glitchy screen to the point where I thought I might have set it up wrong. The night vision is so bad it’s hard to see a child in a bed. The kickstand is off center so it tips over. Do not recommend.

Set up was easy BUT This camera takes several minutes to connect when viewing the camera thru the app. Most of the time it doesn’t even connect. Don’t be fooled and think your system will work, read the other reviews and save your money. Do not buy.

Embarrassment of product/support

If it could be 0 stars it would be. This hasn’t been the first Vtech product we’ve bought so had higher expectations when we had our second child and to upgrade our monitor systems. We’ve had this monitor for a short period of time before it stopped working. Camera would constantly disconnect from the monitor and would not reconnect. Monitor is alway searching for cameras. There is a solid orange/amber/red light whatever color they want to call it on both cameras while the monitor is in direct mode, 1 camera will have no light after about 30 seconds or so while the other stays on. So because the monitor can’t connect to either camera you can “configure Wi-Fi”, you can’t connect to the app, you can do anything. Try to use the reset button on the monitor and nothing. Try to use the pair button per instructions on the bottom of the cameras and nothing. Nothing works. Waste of money especially because Target AND Vtech customer support basically said oh well not their problem and did nothing and has done nothing. Have reached out to both several times. Its embarrassing nobody has done anything or figured out a solution. We’ve looked online for solutions and there is none, however I have found people have had a similar problem with no help. 10 of 10 would not recommend probably any Vtech product to anybody ever based on this, unless some kind of solution was provided. Target customer service for this product is also included in the embarrassment.

this monitor takes 30 seconds to even turn on and connect to the camera, if it connects the first try. It is very glitchy and has at least a 5 second lag. I had to buy this monitor while I waited for another in the mail and returned as soon as I could. Do not recommend.

Impossible to connect. Charger stopped working after 3 months. Im standing outside my sons room 12 feet from the camera and it won’t connect to the monitor. Absolute piece of trash. Overpriced junk. I reached out to the company over a week ago and have heard nothing. The literal one thing you need to work for piece of mind as a parent- I can’t go to sleep knowing my garbage monitor doesn’t work. I have never been more angry.

Not as great as my version from 2020

We had the 1-camera version of this when our daughter was born in 2020. Our only regret was not getting the 2 camera version at the time. Now, with baby #2 on the way, we upgraded to the new 2 camera version. Just took it out of the box, and there are things about my older version I like much better. 1 - the previous charging cable was a Type C connector. This was convenient if you were other places in the house, you could just grab any phone cord to charge. 2 - the kickstand on the back was much better and bigger. The previous one had 3 different angles you could set it at. This was handy when you wanted it sitting on the couch right next to you. The couch was softer so needed a different angle so as not to topple over. This new one only has 1 position, and the kickstand is narrower. Even on my nightstand it feels much tipier. On the positive side, we have always appreciated the 7" screen and the mobile app functionality!

I would highly discourage the purchase of any vtech product. I got this product and it stopped working 4 months later. They did replace it at this point, but it stopped worked 13-14 months after that and now they will not replace it. So, if you want a product that will last a few years vtech is NOT it!

Doesn't Work Well

Unfortunately this monitor rarely works for us. One of the cameras was faulty (would never connect, night light would randomly turn on). The camera that does work and the parent unit itself will frequently disconnect from the internet. We're often having to run upstairs to restart the camera. Customer support was never helpful, we couldn't get through. When I submitted a ticket online it took almost a month before they got back to me, and all they did was tell me to call.

When we first received our first one as a gift, we loved it. Big screen, great resolution, easy functionality - but we ended up having to return the first one thinking maybe it’s just a dud, now we are about to return the one we currently have as well. The connection is TERRIBLE! A month or so in and we can’t get it to stay connected. Very unreliable and that’s not acceptable. Also - the kick stand can hardly hold up the monitor.
