Great but not great without subscription
Nanit technology and app is great overall. All features can be useful to your needs. However, if you’re not subscribed to their plan, conveniently everything doesn’t seem to work properly. For example, video connections takes several minutes to start and show. There’s also 5-10 second delay in sounds. The app on the phone as well has these issues and delays as well. If you’re paying the price for the products, these devices and apps should still be functional without forcing customers a subscription.

Loved at first, then went down hill
Loved it and worked great at first. Then as time went on had constant issues with connection to our wifi. Only device with issues resulting in baby crying at ngiht for who knows how long due to camera disconnecting on its own throughout the night with the only way to reconnect it of going into the nursery to disconnect the camera and reconnect in hopes of not waking up baby. IMO not worth the price for the amount of connection issues.

I initially thought the Nanit would be superior to other baby monitors, especially after researching it on their website. I had previously returned another monitor because of poor video quality at night, so I was willing to spend more for something I thought would be reliable and higher quality. Unfortunately, the Nanit has been a huge disappointment and is absolutely not worth the hype or the price. I’ve had it for about 16 weeks, and I’m already experiencing frequent connection issues. At this point, I don’t trust the monitor to stay connected throughout the night, which completely defeats the purpose of having a baby monitor. There is also a delay from the camera to the monitor. The app also regularly has connection problems, and the tablet battery life is terrible—it essentially needs to stay plugged in 24/7. For the price, I expected a much more reliable product. A baby monitor is something parents need to be able to trust, especially overnight, and unfortunately I cannot trust this one. I highly do not recommend the Nanit.

Not impressed
The camera itself is good but I would not recommend the new Nanit 8" display screen. The monitor screen stopped working and would not load after 3 months of use. So disappointing.

Love this monitor!
This monitor has helped me sleep little better at night ! My husband works nights and it's great that he can watch the baby also, so I can sleep more sound! Gives me more peace knowing that if her breaths get to low or the room gets to cold or if she's laying awake,he can call and let me know. However the thermometer is not very accurate at times and I do have to reset the camera at least once a week for connection failures. I love the light it provides , great for waking up in the middle of the night and being able to see just enough. Love that im able to go. back and watch the nights activity! I have referred to many friends!

NANIT
I have been using NANIT camera with my almost 3 month old daughter since we brought her home. From peace of mind in a safe contained place to short practice naps in the crib, we love the NANIT camera. We had some issues setting up camera at first and their team of professionals assisted us in resolving the issues swiftly and promptly so we could be back eyes on. Thank you NANIT team.

As a grandmother this camera system allows me to ease my worry as I do what I can during naps and sleepovers. I can see everything, as the picture quality is superb. I can hear perfectly because the sound quality is perfect. So grateful for this camera system

I like that I can
I like that I can view my baby from my phone and from the tablet screen. It has a good night vision. I can even tell if my baby's eyes are open or closed if I look carefully. It easily captures the whole crib in view which gives me peace of mind as my child grows.

The camera quality is terrible and it constantly lags, extremely frustrating. Mind you we have a the top internet plan and a high end WiFi router. Never had issues with lag on my network (I'm a gamer). Tried all the trouble shooting and still lags. Sucks cause I bought this to lessen my anxiety and be able to have eyes on our baby but it does the opposite. One thing I noticed is that using Nanit through the web browser works better than the app. My suggestion is to just get a cheaper camera.

We had a lot of different baby monitors over the years but finally was in a place to invest in a better quality one and are so happy with that purchase! It also gave us piece of mind because it would track our baby breathing since she had a rough start and was in the NICU for 2 weeks and then on oxygen for a month. It really made a difference for us as far parents plus the quality of camera is awesome!
