Guests are saying
Nature's Own Butterbread has been a staple for many guests, praised for its soft texture and buttery taste, making it ideal for sandwiches and toast. However, recent changes in size, texture, and freshness have led to disappointment among loyal guests. The bread is now often described as dry, with a harder crust and smaller slices, prompting some to seek alternatives. Despite these concerns, the bread's flavor remains a highlight for some.

Our favorite butter bread has shrunk

I have been buying this bread as long as I can remember. I am very disappointed at the new shrunken size. I’m not saving money because now I have to make every one two sandwiches. And the younger kids that lik the crust cut off say they need 3 sandwiches in there lunch. So I’m spending twice as much with making double the sandwiches and more meat. I am now trying to other breads. Who ever made this decision should be fired. Thanks for all the good years of your wonderful bread. Our family will miss it

I personally do not know what the problem is? Just look at EVERY single picture you publish of your very own product, do see how it's very light and golden looking? For many years now I can seldom if ever find that. I walk into a Walmart and I've got to go through 25 loaves just to walk out frustrated. Sometimes I have to go through several grocery stores just to find the bread I used to love. A light golden crust that's very soft. Now they are ALL coming out dark brown. The texture is tough and it's a totally different tasting bread! This is not something new it's been like this for years. How can somebody at corporate not take heed? How can they publish picture after picture of the perfect looking bread only for us to find out in reality it doesn't look anything like that at all! Does nobody care that these companies are not making the bread like they are supposed to??? This is downright false advertising!!! Customer service if you're reading this, save your coupons for free bread, I'm not interested in a few loaves of free product, I'm interested in somebody somewhere changing the way they are baking the bread so that it actually comes out looking like the picture, golden brown and very soft texture. Why nobody is taking this serious is beyond my imagination but I hope that you lose lots of customers because nobody is changing these things and nobody seems to care! Six months ago I wrote a review and got a coupon for free bread and then I responded with a picture of two loaves that I just had delivered from Walmart, both of them were dark brown and burnt looking. I didn't get a response... How hard is it to cook something the same way every time?

Shocked at the obvious changes made in recipe from original taste and texture. I cannot eat another bite. So seriously sad and disappointed. A loaf of garbage; as if I were eating styrofoam compared to the heavenly bread it used to be. No one will continue buying this if it isn't reversed to the former recipe. All the once great foods are disappearing over time, including Butterbread. You were once the best!

We have been eating nature’s own butter bread for several decades now. In the last few weeks, we have noticed a dramatic change in the bread. It is no longer shaped in a sandwich size, it is not fresh, and the texture is different. We thought perhaps we had gotten defective loaves, but apparently that’s not the case. I assume you did market research, but this is not bread that we will continue to buy. It has been a great run. I hate to see it end.

I have been buying this bread for the last couple of months. I’m noticing a difference. The bread is dry full of ear holes. The texture is different. You’ve done something with the recipe and the ingredients doesn’t last long either. I will not be buying it again. I’m gonna give Sara Lee butter bread, a try. Hopefully, you’ll listen to all these reviews and bring this bread back to the Quality. It was before you changed it.

I’ve exclusively purchased Nature’s Own Butter Bread for my family for years. Something changed recently and it’s almost always stale straight out of a brand new bag. Something changed recently even mold within a day of opening. With a family of five kids, we go through a loaf of bread every other day and all of the kids have noticed a decline in quality too. Please figure out what changed and revert back!

I have purchased NO butter bread for many years but as of a couple years ago the bread looks dark, Burned and instead of the wonderful buttery scent from before all the bread smells Burned. It no longer looks anything like your photo. Instead see my photo....All Burned perhaps I should say overcooked because it's also dry. I only select the best dates yet the bread smells Burned, it's dark and dry regardless of the date.It is nasty and disappointing.

I have purchased Natures Own Butterbread for at least 10 years. The last few months y'all must have changed something in the process of making this bread. It has gone from the supreme bread on the market to among the worst. It now tastes half stale and crusty. I'm really sorry to see this happen to Natures Own. I am now in search of a new bread to purchase.

I used to buy this bread all the time. It was great. Best tasting bread around. But a couple years back or so they have had to change something or someway that the bread is produced. It feel soft to the touch in the grocery store when you gently squeeze the Loaf but when you get it home and pull some of the bread out it has a stale crust like feeling / texture to the bread even though it is soft to the squeeze touch. Please return to a previous procedure so that the bread does not have this dry crust like texture.

I used to love this bread, only bread I ate, but then, it used to come not baked so long with a light white top. However now I have to scour the earth to come across such a batch because it is ALL dark and way too brown and the bread taste almost like it's stale! Trust me when I tell you the difference is night and day. If the bread looks dark and brown it is nothing compared to the ones that are light and those last forever and stay soft. I don't know why there can't be some consistency with the oven, you would think in today's world there is a way to cook the bread the same way, every single time. But NOPE! It's flip a coin
