It's useful beside a sink for the sink-drinky cats, or on the floor for the arthritic cat who likes to splash. I haven't caught her *really* splashing in this yet, but she is still sticking her paws in, so I have to change it. I like how it has a little measuring amount, so you can tell the vet how much the cat is drinking. If yours doesn't put her arthritic little paws in it and make you have to change it out all the time, anyway.

It’s raised and wide, and my cat drinks more from it than is older cup. I think the wide rim prevents his whiskers from touching the sides, which I feel he prefers that way (less whisker stimulation).

I purchased this as an extra water dish for my senior cat. He's been using it over his other dishes (which are also raised but in different styles). My cat normally drinks his water up the side of a bowl making a mess spilling over the edge. While he still gets some over the side of this bowl, I was surprised at how much the lip prevented from spilling. The measurements are wonderful if you need to make sure your cat is getting enough water. The size is fine for me, but may be small if you have multiple cats or want to go without refilling for long periods of time.

I wanted to love this bowl so much…it’s really cute. I bought it because it was billed as a no spill, no tip bowl and my cat is a jerk that just loves to tip the water bowl (for the love of god why?) so yeah he tipped it…easily…after 30 seconds of it being used ….sigh. So if you are looking for a super cute water bowl for a non tipping jerk cat then this bowl would be great…if however you have a big fat bruiser cat who looooves spilling water everywhere then avoid at all costs.

My cat approves! He’s a larger older cat and his posture while eating looks much improved with this bowl. Plenty big for his can of wet food with water mixed in. Like the anti slip ring at the bottom and that it’s dishwasher safe.
