Q: Please tell me if Tollhouse DARK chocolate chips contain soy. My allergy to soy is severe so I cannot accept MAY contain soy. All other Tollhouse chips contain soy as far as I know.

    Great size, delicious, versatile & decent price

    I’m insulin-dependent late onset type 1 diabetic, and I have a sweet tooth and often experience low blood sugar as well as high. These are a great size to sneak into my yogurt parfaits without going overboard. It’s not quite 70% dark, but pretty darn close (thats apparently the magic number for antioxidant benefits of chocolate??). Its also easy to grab to counteract low blood sugao. It’s easy to go overboard with lows (supposed to consume 15grams carbs then wait 15 min), and these help a lot! My favorite is Dannon light & fit yogurts with a handful of special k red berries, & these! A delicious & fairly filling parfait can be kmade with these (& preferably some real berries) for around 350 calories & 40 carbs!

    Not what they used to be

    The flavor of the butterscotch morsels has changed for the worse. One of my favorite deserts that I grew up enjoying was butterscotch brownies. I was going to make them for my grandchildren but the morsels tasted so bad that I scrapped the idea and threw them out.

    The butterscotch chips have a bad aftertaste now - similar to how sugar free sweets have a bad aftertaste. I will have to look for a more authentic brand.

    Nestles Toll House Semi Sweet Chocolate Morsels

    All of the women in my family have used Nestlēs Semi-Sweet (100% real) Chocolate Morsels for generations, making the best chocolate chip cookies using the original Toll House cookie recipe, which never fails. I know the cost of everything has gone up, so when I can buy a 24 oz package of these yummy chips on sale at Target with an additional 5% off for using my Targèt debit card, I order thru the app, drive up and have my purchase brought out for free. Easy Peasy P.S. The morsels meltable can be used in/ on other desserts or if you just want to snack on some out o the bag. What great customer service.

    New formula has liqueur flavor. Not good.

    Made scotch-a-roos and these overwhelmed the chocolate/butterscotch topping. It had a distinct liqueur aftertaste that was very off-putting. I hope you can find a way to make “natural” flavors actually taste good.
