This doesn't dry out my dry aging skin and I like the fact it has glycerin in it (to hydrate my skin) not to mention it's affordable. It's also fragrance free, I'll definitely buy this again.

I like the original Neutrogena bar but cannot find it anywhere locally. Usually, I don’t care for scents, but I LOVE the mild fragrance of the original bar, which I’ve been using for 30+ years. Please don’t ever change it. It’s wonderful just like it is. I love opening the box and unwrapping a new bar and smelling the original fragrance which is subtle and reminds me of my teen years when I started using it because acne meds and cold weather dried out my face. Now that I’m almost 50, it helps moisturize my face and washes away easily.

I recently decided to go fragrance free for skin products at the recommendation of my doctor as I’ve always had issues with eczema on my neck. This bar does have a fragrance that honestly reminds me of cold ground beef and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re sensitive to smell. But if you can get past the odd smell it is AMAZING when it comes to cleansing. I solely use it for my face at night now after taking off my makeup and it has evened my skin tone and cleanses my face throughly! I have used it on my body as well but as I take baths twice a day the bar runs out quickly which is why I decided to only use it on my face because I’ll get a longer use of it. Beware using it on the face however because it will sting if it gets in your eyes but just flush them with water quickly and you’ll be fine! I highly recommend this soap as it gives such a fantastic cleanse and your skin will feel so soft and amazing!

I am a long time user of Neutrogena Original Scented soap (since about 1980 or so). I have always appreciated the refreshing scent, and the clean rinse. Yes, it costs a little more than other soaps, but it is set apart by those attributes. I feel that other soaps have too many gimmicks. I don't use a soap to moisturize, to scrub, or anything else other than to just assist cleaning of my skin and to leave me feeling clean, well-rinsed, and refreshed. Neutrogena does that. My only concern is that it seems increasingly more difficult to find the original scent bars. I'm not sure if this is because many people who use it prefer the unscented. It is easy to find the unscented version of the bar soap, but is becoming more difficult to find the scented bars.

If you are sensitive to smells, you may not like this. I am disappointed that it actually smells bad like other people have written here. Honestly, I can almost taste how bad it is when I think about it right now. Some people may not notice or be as offended by it. I love the soap but have no idea what to do about the smell.

I don't like the filmy feeling that moisturizing/lotion soaps leave behind. My dermatologist recommended that I use this not just as a face soap, but a body soap as well. Everything else irritates my skin, but this is so gentle. I use it on my face as well, and it feels clean but not stripped, and there isn't that leftover soapy feeling that other face washes leave behind. Amazing product for the low cost, and I've used this (unscented version) for over 15 years.
