I’ve tried both of New York Bakery’s gluten-free options, and while the original Real Garlic Texas Toast is great, the Five Cheese variety is even better. It pairs perfectly with so many meals, adding a rich, cheesy flavor and a satisfying texture. Plus, it’s super easy to prepare—just a few minutes in a toaster oven or air fryer, and it comes out crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. That said, the price is a major downside. Like many gluten-free products, it’s significantly more expensive than the regular version—six small slices cost nearly twice as much! Since a gluten-free diet isn’t a choice for those with celiac disease, it’s frustrating to pay such a premium. As much as I love this toast, I can’t justify buying it regularly unless the price comes down. I really hope New York Bakery makes it more affordable because it truly is a fantastic product!

You think about all the moments you’ve wanted to enjoy some good garlic or cheese toast and because you’re gluten free the price gets doubled for a lesser than product but not with this New York Texas toast It contains real mozzarella, Asiago, cheddar, parm, and provolone and the combination is an explosion of flavors in your mouth! It’s baked from scratch in a dedicated facility which is what every person who has a gluten intolerance or allergy dreams of. I felt safe giving this to my boys and taking a slice for my celiac self. We used our toaster over and enjoyed it with some meatballs and kale. Absolute perfection. The other slices I used our toaster over again and then smothered some avocado on it to pair with some eggs. Whether you’re wanting toast for breakfast or to accompany a dinner meal this is the toast for you. Once again the price is so good that you don’t feel like you’re having to sell a piece of your soul for it ha! I didn’t subtract a star because it’s a preference for me but it does contain soybean oil which I try to avoid but in the end of the day for special treats like this it’s okay to indulge and not worry about dyes or gluten.

It heated quickly and evenly without burning which is a me problem yet not uncommon. Better yet, it’s tasty enough to share with the kids and them not balk at this much appreciated gluten free yet tasty treat.

I have tried both of the recently released gluten-free offerings from New York Bakery, and while I really like the original Real Garlic Texas Toast, I love this flavor, the Five Cheese Texas Toast, even more. It's the perfect accompaniment for so many different dishes, and it really helps round out a meal. It's very easy to prepare, too. I don't even turn on our oven, I just heat a slice or two in either our toaster oven or air fryer, and it's ready in about ten minutes, toasty and crispy on the outside, but soft and warm on the inside, and filled with cheesy flavor throughout. Unfortunately, like most gluten-free products, this stuff is annoyingly expensive. You get six SMALL slices for around TWICE the price of the regular stuff from this brand! As much as I love it and want to give this product five stars, I have to remove at least one--and maybe two--for the prohibitive price. Maintaining a gluten-free diet isn't my choice; it's the ONLY prescribed treatment for celiac disease. It just feels so unfair that I should have to pay so much more for something I can't help. I am really happy to know this product is available, but I can't justify keeping it in my freezer regularly until the price comes down a bit more. I hope New York Bakery will make that happen because this Texas Toast is amazingly good!

It is a bit pricy for the quantity you get but that’s the par for gluten free items. It toasted nice in the air fryer. Paired great with chili one day and then I made some croutons with a few of them another day

There was a good amount of cheese and garlic flakes although, I did notice that some of the pieces of bread barely had any cheese and garlic flakes on it. The bread did have a good amount of butter on it, which I like. Upon tasting the bread was really flavorful and seasoned nicely. It was super cheesy and garlicky a nice flavor burst in your mouth. It was nicely toasted and the center was soft but still firm and the toast wasn’t soggy at all from the butter. I could hardly tell it was gluten free! I would definitely recommend this cheesy garlic bread!!
