Powerful Fan
Great things about this fan-very powerful, even on lowest setting moves a lot of air. I use another window fan to bring cool air in (when it's cooler outside, of course) then use this Newair fan to move the hot air out. When weather conditions are right, this cools down the space very quickly. I feel confident the fan will last (this is summer #2), and the grill comes off for cleaning. The only negative-and this is mitigated by putting a nonslip mat underneath-is that because it is so powerful, the fan "skates" around on the hardwood floor, but, easilty addressed. The good performance of this fan led me to purchase a portable ac unit from this company this year (will do a separate review for that). One mention, a hd fan like this makes some noise-does not bother me, but is to be expected.

Forget the cheap plastic fans, this is so different
It's quiet and smooth, for an inductee fan it throws off some serious wind. The fan is well balanced, none of that weird "droning" sound found in cheap plastic HD fans. I purchased two for the warehouse and then another two about one week later.

One of the best fans we've ever used
In the garage or in the house this fan moves a lot of air! Also excellent for quickly drying a recently mopped floor or damp raingear, we love finding uses beyond cooling us down. Fyi it moves more air than the Vornado fans we've bought at a better price point. Considering another of the same model or even a larger unit in the future.

I did a lot of research after buying a cheapie box fan from big box store that I promptly returned. It's not too loud for the amount of air it throws. All three speeds are just right, plus I was sold on the ball bearings it has rather than sleeve bearings. Very impressed overall.

excessive power in a good way
Very few times do you come across a product that exceeds your expectations and this fan does just that. I got this fan to help circulate the air in my garage after i intalled a portable air conditioner and it works fantastic. Its so powerful thaat i have to put a sandbag on the base to keep it from moving around on the hard garage floor. It works great and i plan on getting snother for my patio.

You just turn it on and that's it. Spoke with a rep about my needs. Bought two. Great for humidity - inclined spaces and for those on a low budget which makes the purchase of an A/C out of reach. Works better than the Lakewood brand floor fans

Powerful Fan
Fan at lowest speed moves A LOT of air. Will slide itself around on wood floor, so have put a non-skid mat under. Purchased to replace a plastic, three year old, unable-to-open-to-clean plastic fan that died on the worst day of the recent PNW heat wave; thank goodness we had one other fan as this one had to be ordered online and so could not immediately be obtained. Specifically wanted something that could be cleaned AND be recycled when it dies. Hopefully it has a longer life than its predecessor. Another plus is the spare look of the fan-less visual clutter in our small place.

Perfect portable floor fan! Very quiet for how much air this thing moves and love how the cord wraps around the back so it's not dragging on floor while moving or storing it. Amazing Shop Fan
I got this fan a few days ago and it's been amazing in my shop to keep me cool. I use NewAir heaters in the winter to keep me warm, now NewAir is keeping me cool in the summer. Love it!

Impressive circulating fan
We have been using this fan in our garage during the day to keep air moving since we live in the warm, humid climate of Texas near San Antonio. This circulating fan worked great for that purpose.

Just received my NewAir 18" High Velocity Portable Floor Fan with 3 fan speeds, and I am absolutely 100% satisfied with the fan! I have it cooling me down as I type this review. Powerful and hardly any noise. I would definitely recommend this portable fan to anyone who is needing a really good quality fan. It is well constructed, and has a very good base, and also a carrying handle, which is most convenient. I give it a #10 rating.
