Q: Horrible, horrible toxic chemical off-gassing smell that caused immeidate headache. Does this dissipate?

A: Good morning, First I would like to apologize on the response wait to your question. Our Technical Dept has responded back with the follow: First, ventilate the room by keeping windows and doors open for at least 72 hours. Vacuuming the carpet right after installation and daily cleaning can also help limit the smell. Sprinkling baking soda on the carpet and leaving it for 24 to 48 hours can absorb the smell.

Q: This rug has a terrible off-gassing odor. I purchased a second in hopes that it would be better but it is not. Anytime the sun shines on it, it releases a foul smell. Will washing it outdoors help?

A: The rug must be given the chance to dry on Both sides completely. It should not be left on the floor/ground to get saturated. Long exposure to wet without drying time any outdoor rug will began to smell. s You should have received cleaning instructions stating to air dry both sides and we advise to hang over a banister or somewhere that air can get to the front & back of the rug.

Beautiful rug …BUT … it is thin as a tablecloth! Not like the other rugs thickness they make , this is very lightweight and a slight breeze makes it flap like a flag . That is my only disappointment . Should not have to Velcro all the edges down, their other rugs are thicker and heavier . This one is big 7x10 but only weighs maybe 5 lbs at best , half the weight of their 5x8 rug I bought two years ago.

I bought this rug in the Fall and kept to use in the Spring. It’s been one month since I put it on my deck and it’s completely faded out where the sun shines on my deck. Very unhappy with this product. It’s too late to return so I’m out the cost of the rug and the cost of a new one. Do not buy this rug.
