A texture that requires some getting used to
I came to this from the world of whey isolate protein, meaning I was used to the world of neutrally flavored protein powders that blend easily. You can't expect that from pea protein I guess. I didn't know to expect that so I was surprised with the grittiness and strong flavor. The dietitian I'm working with gave me a bunch of suggestions to override that and so I'm using some of her suggestions to improve the consistency. A mashed avocado makes a big difference. So does raw cashew butter. So I guess I'm saying it's okay with enough flavor mix-ins. I know I'm using a quality product and getting a good vegan source of protein as well.

The best I have found
I've tried several different brands of pea protein powder and some are coarse and gritty and have a stronger flavor than this one. This is like fine flour, so it disappears into a smoothie (other than it adds a bit of thickness to the drink, which is what I want). Also, this has NO OTHER INGREDIENTS, unlike some that have added stuff I don't want or need. It's also easy to add into grain-free bread recipes, which adds protein to the breads (like banana bread, apple sauce bread or pancakes). I no longer try others as this is the best I have found.

Nasty
It is really gross..texture is chalky and it tastes aweful...never again..I tried powdered peanut butter, fruit, yogurt, berries and nothing helps with that taste, I just cant stomach it.

I got 2 containers of this protein and one was ok, but the second one is bitter. Overall, I'm not happy with the texture either. I usually buy the swanson brand pea protein, but they were out of stock. Will not buy this again. I have a ninja and this powder still blends weird.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Might be fortified but tastes NASTY .... have been trying different proteins power for my fresh organic greens and fruit smoothies. This one is AWFUL. Grainy and bitter not even 10 strawberries and 1/2 a banana can hide it.
