i've never owned a wool rug, this is my first. i hear with cheaper wool rugs, and even any wool rug, it is normal for shedding to occur up till a year. that is not why i gave this 3*. i made sure to vacuum at least 10x overall in the first day. the shedding has already reduced significantly. i didn't measure it but it fits my space so it works for me (i ordered the 8x10). positives (3* for the following): - seems like a sturdy, wool rug - shape is as pictured cons (-2* for the following): - the rug came with multiple markings - black, pink, and blue (almost marker spots) and some black plastic fibers woven into the rug. if i spend money for a new item it should come in new. especially when its a large item. i don't want to have to go through the hassle of returning a poor product quality check item, thus giving this 3 stars. i only included 2 photos but there's at least 20 markings throughout the rug.

Too much shedding

This is a beautiful rug in color and shape but it sheds like crazy. Imagine fur all over your clothes, hair, mouth and it travels easily to other parts of the home. Get ready for constant cleaning and vacuuming of surrounding areas to keep your home sane.
