Measured 7ft 2 inches on a tape measure. 8 ft was already a little short for the hallway i intended this to go on, but being additional 10 inches shorter than expected is a let-down. Also looks thick and full on photos, it's thin, and lightweight.

    I highly recommend this rug! I have had jute and sisal rugs but with a dog, they held odors and it grossed me out. Also, they were hard to keep clean. But this rug looks JUST like sisal! I was worried it would look like it was made of plastic (with a sheen or something), but it really doesn't, and I am very particular about these kinds of details. It SMELLS like new carpet though! I put it out in the sun for about 2 hours and the smell reduced by about 95%, so I suggest doing this. Also, I put it on a felt rug pad and this reduced the creases significantly. Wonderful rug and I highly recommend it!!
