DO NOT BUY! These should not be used on or near food. They left sulfur residue all over the top of the cake. I should have realized that but since they are cake candles I figured they would be safe…nope. They were also extremely hard to light and they started popping and going crazy at the end. Do not use. Do not buy. They should really pull these off the shelves.

Fun idea, but disappointing in reality
I bought 2 for a 25th birthday. They took long to light, so by time i could light the 5 the 2 was already out. Did not turn out like I had envisioned at all. If you are only buying one, then you are probably okay.

Don't recommend for cakes
Very fun, but ruined cupcakes. These candles worked well and we're a cute way to celebrate, but they left a burnt charcoal all over the cake at the end. Would not recommend, especially if using on a cake, we used on cupcakes and were able to discard ruined cupcakes.

They left a layer of soot all over the top of the cake. Had to remove top layer to eat. Set off our smoke detector and smelled awful. They didn't light easy. Wouldn't buy again.

Outdoor use only
I do not understand this product or the good reviews it recieves. The package clearly states that it is for outdoor use only. So you shouldn't actually put it in a cake in the house. Also, it's just like a sparkler, so there are little sparks shooting off that can land on the table, food, and tablecloth. So basically it is not what it says, which is a cake candle.
