The scent is not overwhelming and has a nice shape for chewing, my dog is missing a few teethe so I like to add a little bit of broth to soften. The packaging is nice and sturdy as to prevent breaking.

He seemed to like it, but I noticed a week after him eating this he began getting this jelly stuff in his eye. Not sure if it’s related to the food but I decided to switch him back to his normal food and it seemed to clear after that. So keep that in mind.

Chicken, followed by chicken meal, are the first few in the ingredient list, with no chicken by-product, artificial preservatives, corn, wheat or soy protein. Supports healthy immunity, joints, radiant skin and coat. The list goes on. My senior dog really loves the kibble bits. Small enough and easy for him to eat. I've noticed his energy level has been much better and he seems more happy. I also love that Mars is doing sustainability efforts for the environment, with zero factory waste and made with renewable electricity. 👍

This nutro has never caused problems and it’s the only kibble she will eat. As she gets older we do add a mussel powder to her kibble to keep her joints healthy, but we know her stomach is always safe and happy with this brand.

One of our small dogs is almost 17 so chewing does get a little more difficult. The shape makes it easy for him to crunch through. They love the smell and the taste!

He enjoyed it overall and his poop was smaller which means more of the food was being digested. A good choice for older dogs with sensitive teeth! I had never seen this brand before and was pleasantly surprised with it, especially its affordability.

For about a week I mixed in a little with her regular food until she seemed to get used to it; I also didn’t want to upset her stomach. She has been eating it for a bit now and she seems to like it. I haven’t seen her have any negative effect by trying this new food either which is definitely a plus. The price is a little bit higher than the food I was giving her already but if she really seems to keep enjoying this one I might make the switch. I love the ingredients so I would definitely recommend this to another dog mom or dad!

I followed the instructions to mix it with his other food for the first 6 days, this dog loved Nutro Ultra so much he was picking out the pieces of Nutro Ultra out from the bowl and only eating the Nutro Ultra. So now this will be his new dog food brand. I like that it's tailored for senior dogs and has great nutritional products and that it contains glucosamine and chondroitin for his joints. Highly recommend Nutro Ultra for senior dogs.
