Great if you're lactose intolerance
This kit is really nice and the flavors are pretty good, I mostly love it since I can add my own milk since most shops around me don't have milk alternatives for people that are lactose intolerant. The one thing I say to anyone who gets this is to not follow the microwave directions for the pearls, just open the packet and dump the pearls into boiling water for until they're somewhat see-through and soft then drain the water from the pearls and mix them in a little of the brown sugar mix just to coat them. The microwave method doesn't even soften them and there just nasty.

Beautiful and delicious
This is fun to make and really does result in a beautifully barista quality drink. The boba pearls are chewy gummies rather than the delicate bursts of fruit juice used in coffee shop drinks. The online description says caffeine, and I was concerned about that. However, the box ingredients do not list caffeine. There is green tea in the matcha flavor only and therefore, there could be a minimal amount in only that flavor. And the taro flavor may only have a trace of caffeine from the root vegetable but not enough to be measurable. So, I was very pleased to confirm these are not caffeinated. Yum!

I had high hopes after reading some of the positive reviews on this product. Gave this to my daughter for her birthday and we both could not believe how bad this was. The taste was off, the color was off (The Taro did NOT turn purple) and the BOBA pearls were a mess. They want you to melt them in the microwave. After you melt them, they clumb together and they are much smaller than the BOBA we have grown to love. I would give it zero stars if I could. We will be returning.
