Poor product, spongy and weak
Sadly disappointed in what I had hoped to be a good alternative to regular shells. I ate a lot of low carb products and this is one of the worst I've ever tasted. It lacks flavor but my biggest complaint is the texter. I've tried heating it several different ways and eating it unheated and as you begin to chew them they are soft and chewy and difficult to chew. They have the texture of wet cardboard. They fall apart as soon as you bite into them and not in crumbling pieces just breaking apart in soft spongy pieces. I love Old El Paso products, they are great, but this one is a huge exception.

Just say NO!
These were absolutely disgusting! As someone who has purchased a lot of low carb foods, especially tortillas and such, I know what to expect as far as taste and texture. Eating these shells should be considered a crime against your tastebuds. They taste absolutely horrid and they kind of just fall apart in your mouth as if they had expired decades ago and leave a crazy aftertaste. I would highly recommend just enjoying a simple taco salad or splurge on the real thing.

I TRIED THECARB ADVANTAGE TACO SHELLS WITH IMOROVED TASTE AND CRUNCH. BAR CODE SCAN #4600013733. EXP JUNE 2026. COULD NOT GET THEN CRISPY. TEXTURE WAS NOT GOOD. FELT GRAINY ON THE TONGUE. DID NOT TASTE LIKE A REAL TACO SHELL. CARB LEVEL WAS LOW. IF THIS WAS THE IMPROVED FLAVOR AND CRUNCH I'M GLAD I DID'T TRY THE PREVIOUS ONES.

Really bad
These are GROSS. I have tried a lot of low carb stuff and I wouldn’t say any of it is fantastic but most of what I’ve tried is a good substitute for its higher carb brother. These taco shells however are beyond gross. I couldn’t make it further than one single bite before all the rest went into the trash. Picture cutting up newspaper and soaking it in acid water then forming it into a taco shell. That’s exactly what it tastes like; bitter, thin and something overall you shouldn’t be eating.

I am only complaining because the flavor is truly awful! I’m guessing the box they came in likely tastes better. They just didn’t have an ounce of flavor. It tasted like cardboard. I see that the tortillas have better reviews so I may try those. Please elevate the flavor and texture of these!

Love the thin crisp crunch & taste. Not a shell to stuff or it will break. I prefer this taste more than original shells which taste heavy & stale to me. I believe it is personal texture preference.
