Q: I am confused, when I went to buy this product at HEB the label says it "Contains a bioengineered product" but your label here does not indicate it. Why two different labels?

Q: Are your taco mixes gluten free?

A: Hi Lee, thanks for the question. Our Seasoning mix is not labeled gluten free. Only products that can be verified to be gluten free will be declared as gluten free on the label. For products not labeled gluten free, we will always declare gluten containing ingredients if they are added to the product. If there are no gluten-containing ingredients listed in the product ingredient label, but the product does not make a gluten free claim, it is because we cannot fully assure that this product is gluten free. Horrible tasting now! What happened? I've been using this for decades and the last 2 times it smells horrific and tastes even worse! We thought maybe the meat was bad but it was not...it's the seasoning! Threw it all away, again! Guess we'll be looking for another brand

Absolutely disgusting. Just made 2 pounds of ground beef that is now trash. When I opened the packet, the seasoning was mostly white and smelled different. Once I mixed it with beef, I was gagging. The smell is horrible and I refuse to taste it. I made tacos just a few months ago and did not have this issue. I hope whatever is wrong is fixed.

Used to be the only seasoning I'd use, tried twice since the recipe change. Mild seasoning is so bad i threw out 3 pounds of meat it's the wrong color and has no flavor, Original still has spice to it but flavor dissappears after a second.

Since making the taco seasoning gluten free, it no longer has much flavor and is gummy. I support making products available to those with food allergies, but can you please make it an option while keeping the original recipe the same?

I have been using this packet of seasoning. Mix for decades! I have always very much liked it. Got one a few weeks ago and the color was different; it was almost white in color. Made it with ground beef, which is not my norm and it was in edible. It was gooey sticky, the meat was gray colored… Etc. Had to throw it out. Bought another one thinking that perhaps I had gotten some bad ground beef. I made it my usual way with ground turkey and it was awful! Odd flavor and thick and gooey. Completely different color, flavor, and texture , from what it used to be. Please change it back. !!

I used a different mix for years and then the store was out and I found I loved this one so much more. HOWEVER, you have ruined it. We a lot of taco's and I bought 10 packs!! All ten are this new disgusting no flavor goop producing garbage. What have you done? It is as if there is nothing in there but the cornstarch. When I added it to the meat I didn't notice until the color was off. It was not that deep red color. Then when I tasted it there isn't any flavor at all. I hoped it was just the one package but nope. Two out of the 10 that I bought are this way. I am so disappointed.

What has happened to your Old El Paso Taco Seasonsing Mix, original flavor? You have taken my favorite, always "go to" taco seasoning for nearly 50 years from the best to the worst taco seasoning I have ever used. I am so disappointed. Picked up 2 pkgs, and 2 pounds of ground beef and the taco meat I made went directly into my garbage disposal. I knew it did not look right, and did not smell right, but I made it anyway. I didn't dare present that to my family as dinner. The taste was horrible. No good flavor or seasoning spices were detected. Just a pasty,gummy, bad smelling, bad tasting waste of ground beef. I really feel you will come to regret the change you've made.

What in the world did you do to the Mild Taco Mix? It is white rather than orange/red and has minimal taco flavor. It cooks up thick and doesn't smell as good as it used to smell. I can't smell tacos in the kitchen after cooking now and before, I could smell taco seasoning all in the house.

Color, and flavor has changed. Not good!! I have used the mild taco seasoning for a long time. Grabbed 4 packets like usual. It usually has a brownish, orange tint to it. Opened up the first package, and it was white. Thought it was outdated, checked the date, and it was not. Thought maybe it was just that one packet. Opened up the next 3 packets, all the same. Tasted way different. I used to love when you had a little brownish taco juice at the bottom of the pan. Really tasty. This makes me sad, because we cook a lot of tacos. I WILL NOT BUY THIS AGIAN UNITL IT GETS FIXED BACK TO HOW IT WAS BEFORE!!! Now I have to go try a different seasoning, and find one I like. I have read a lot of reviews about this. Please get this fixed, I want to use your seasoning, but I will not if it doesn't change. Thank you for your time.
