A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Old Skool AV to HDMI Converter. ✅ Yes, it works with a regular NES — with one important condition. Will the Old Skool AV to HDMI Converter work with an NES? ✅ Yes, IF your NES is using composite AV cables The original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) outputs composite video and mono audio via: Yellow = video Red/White = audio (NES uses mono; plug into either red or white) If your NES is connected using these standard RCA (AV) cables, the Old Skool AV‑to‑HDMI Converter will work and convert the signal so it plays on an HDMI TV. ❌ No, if your NES is using RF only Some NES setups use an RF adapter (coaxial cable that screws into the TV antenna port). ❌ RF will NOT work with an AV‑to‑HDMI converter You must switch to composite AV cables ✅ The good news: the NES already supports composite output — you just need the right cable. A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Old Skool AV to HDMI Converter. It is so wonderful that you’re sharing those classic games with your grandchildren! The short answer is yes, absolutely. The Old Skool AV to HDMI Converter is the perfect "bridge" for this. Since your PlayStation uses the older round cables (Yellow, White, and Red) and your Smart TV uses the modern flat HDMI ports, this little box does the translation for you. Here is a simple guide to getting it running so the kids can start playing: 1. Connecting the Pieces The PlayStation Side: Take the colored cables coming out of your PlayStation and plug them into the matching colored holes on the "Input" side of the converter box. The TV Side: Plug an HDMI cable into the "Output" side of the box and the other end into any HDMI port on your Smart TV. The Power (Important!): This box needs power to work. It comes with a small USB cable. Plug one end into the side of the box and the other end into a USB port on the back of your TV (or a phone charging brick). If you don't plug this in, the screen will stay black. If you have any additional questions, we welcome you to contact MyTGTtech at 833-848-8324 every day, between 7am-11pm CST.
