The compression on this lens is worth its price in gold alone, I never pick up my 12-40 2.8 anymore because the pictures out of this lens look so good. My only gripe is the packaging is so cheap from when Olympus changed to OM SYSTEM and they cut corners under the guise of being eco friendly and when you get the item at first, it's really off putting how cheap it looks. But doesn't change anything about the lens, although makes you wonder where else they are cutting corners. -Wesley Clarillos
