Very under-rated, likely due to pandemic

I was enraptured from the first sentence spoken, my kid and I loved the movie very much. Was in theaters when pandemic started so couldn't get out to see it, finally got the blu-ray for Christmas and we were absolutely blown away. We laughed, I cried some, loved the easter eggs. I loved it enough to play it twice and still consider a third very soon to see what other references I missed. Barley and Ian drove their van into my heart.

Underrated movie that has a great storyline

The movie was fantastic, heartwarming, innovative, original and sadly under appreciated. The story was great, with the foundation based on the early childhood given by the Director in the included booklet. It was a good to see such a story told on screen that resembles many people’s childhoods. The Target exclusive was a nice touch with the booklet and special case. I’ll end with something the other reviews aren’t saying, buy for the movie and story...not the “special edition case”.

Really liked the packaging of this movie, this is the only initial release that has any type of slipcover, so I opted for this Target Exclusive. (Regular 4k or Blu-ray release have no slipcover, crazy). And I like that it still has the original case that house the discs. I hate with a passion, digi-crap-packs, useless IMO, they always fall apart and crumble until you're left with just the discs on the shelf.

This movie is UNDERRATED

ONWARD IS UNDERRATED! It had humor, action and adventure, and a heartfelt story that anyone who has been in the situation of raising your sibling(s) because a parent was absent will appreciate this to no end. Ian took risks, Barley always stood up for what he believed in, the mom was a strong female role, and this is the first movie (even though it was a small part) to have an openly gay character! For those who say that Ian should have talked to his dad, didn't understand the meaning of the movie. Use what you have. And Ian had Barley.

Really like this Target exclusive. This is the only edition of the movie that comes with a slip cover. It's open like a book type of slipcover with an exclusive gallery book.

This is not as exclusive as you think

This is just the regular 4K released packaged in a fancier slipcover. It is not like the previous exclusives by Target which were housed in custom made fold out packaging. Please bear that in mind when purchasing this. I hope this is not what the new standard exclusives will become like. Target needs to stick a format that works instead of chopping and changing things. As they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Love this movie! Glad to finally have it on DVD. Just keep in mind that if you order this from Target you'll probably get it without the jacket cover, unlike what the picture shows. I had ordered the blu ray combo set with the jacket cover for my collection and received it without it, which I'm not too happy about, which is the reason for the 4 star rating. But everything else is great.

We loved this movie. It was a great family adventure movie! I give it 4 stars because I wish we could have seen Ian and his Dad together in the end. My kids loved it though!

Nothing was awesome and the movie was about average. The ending wasn't that great. It could have ended with the main character boy at least talking to his dad instead of watching from a barricade of rocks and metal parts while his brother talked to their dad. His brother did say his dad asked him to hug him for him. For Pixar movies this is my least favorite.
