About the Author

Jovanka Houska is the 2013 Commonwealth Ladies Champion and a many-time winner of the British Women's Championship. She has represented the English team, on top board, at numerous Chess Olympiads, and qualified for the 2006 Women's World Championship. In 2006 shewon the English Chess Federation Player of the Year award, the first time a female chess player had received this prestigious recognition.
