WHY this Organic Version is a Bargain!
I've purchased these several times and have been very pleased. Generally, I only purchase organic over non-organic produce when it's a root veggie, like carrots, onions, potatoes, as root vegetables are in direct contact with the pesticides in the soil and are likely to absorb more of the chemicals. However, if the difference in price between organic and non-organic is just a few pennies, I will generally purchase the organic. I only more recently noticed this 10 oz. container of Good & Gather branded organic grape tomatoes is currently 10 cents more than the same 10 oz. container of Good & Gather, non-organic, grape tomatoes. So, I began buying the organic version a few weeks back. Sometimes, the organic versions of a produce item go bad/(rot) more quickly than the non-organic version. HOWEVER, I have purchased several containers (easily over a dozen) of the non-organic version of these grape tomatoes before realizing the organic version was just 10 cents more for the exact SAME size and the exact same style of carton. I have been purchasing the organic since and have noticed no difference in the amount of time the tomatoes stay fresh and can be used. ALTHOUGH, I have noticed the organic tomatoes do have a richer, deeper flavor than the non-organic -- even trying them side-by-side. The flavor is the reason I have, for several years, opted for organic marinara sauces over their non-organic counterparts. At a recent, weekend family meal, the subject of jarred tomato sauces came up, and after expressing my preference for organic jarred tomato sauce, my adult daughter readily informed me that the likely reason the organic tomato-based sauces taste better is because the organic tomatoes remain on the vine longer and develop more flavor than the non-organic tomatoes.... Apparently, in addition to pesticides, "organic" produce also can't have chemicals added that speeds up their growth -- Thus, they remain on the vine longer and develop a more intense flavor. It's the main reason why our homegrown tomatoes are so much better! While, for many years, I've been willing to buy jars of organic tomato/marinara sauces for $2.50-3.50 more, I am now more than happy to pay 10 cents more for a 10oz container of these grape tomatoes. I think the price would have to increase by $1 (30%) or more per container before I'd consider going back to the non-organic version.... for taste alone. So, the question asked by the app is whether I'd recommend these, and the answer is absolutely. Now, I live in a large Metro area with a Super Target that doesn't seem to "overstock" their produce. So, when they're out of an item, they're out until their next produce delivery-- it can be 5-7 days. So, I wouldn't forgo a recipe to wait for the organic tomatoes to come back in stock, but I would wait a day or two. Additionally, I prefer the TASTE of these organic grape tomatoes over their cherry (bomb) tomatoes still on the vine, and I am near certain it's because the "Cherry Bombs" are not organic. So, don't be fooled by "On the Vine" tomatoes as being tastier. I suggest going for their organic tomato counterparts every time for the taste alone. My apologies for such a long comment!

Ugh blurg!
These are supposed to be organic. They have a gross smell and a terrible aftertaste. It's like a sewer or rotting fish odor. 🤢

Organic Grape tomatoes
These are the rotten organic grape tomatoes I received in my order today from Target. As you can see one is so rotten that it is black. I’m shocked that Target would actually sell items like this. Very disappointing because I’m always so satisfied with them.
