A: Hi. Thanks for reaching out to us regarding our Orville Redenbachers Movie Theater Butter Popcorn. The main reason for this is that when a bag is popped, some of the oil and flavorings tend to stick to the bag rather than stay with the rest of the popcorn. Since this is higher in calories than the popcorn itself, it means that the popcorn that comes out of the bag will typically end up being slightly less in calories than the unpopped bag. It's super frustrating that a third of the bags in a 12 pack have butter leaking out all over the microwave plate. I used to have no issues with these and now two 12 pack boxes in a row have this awful leaking issue..causes such a mess and feels like a waste.

We bought the 36 pack 3.9 0z movie theater butter always. It was the greatest. Almost all kernels popped every time. However we can’t find the 36 pack or 3.9 oz packs any longer. The mini bags and value bags pop only half the kernels. It is a waste of money now. We love this popcorn but if it doesn’t pop then it can’t be eaten.

Quality issue. The bags aren’t vented so they steam too much in the bag making popcorn have that stale quality and the bags are impossible to open by pulling.

This 12 pack microwave popcorn is awesome. Great tasting hot crispy popcorn fresh out of your microwave. 99% of the kernels pop (unlike many other brands). I will surely buy the Orville Redenbacher's again (the 24 pack next time). So much better than cold popcorn sold in the big plastic bags.

Only about 40% of its contents popped Every bag I have used looks extra greasy on the outside when you take the wrapper out. Once on the microwave even though the instructions recommended to por the time yourself, which I did, still a skinny bag of pop corn with extra amount of hot corns super dangerous because of the heat or the hardness on your teeth so be careful! First and last time buying this type of microwave pop corn

I just bought a box of Movie Theater Popcorn and 4 packages in a row were duds. Not a single kernel popped and both ends of the bag opened and all the butter ran out all over the microwave. I have never had this happen with any brand ever before and so far every package in this box. Not happy at all and tired of cleaning my microwave after every attempt.

Out of the three bags, only one popped correctly, The other two popped maybe one quarter of the kernels and the bags deflated as soon as took them out of the microwave.

Orville Redenbacher is the absolute best popcorn around! It consistently pops the same light and flavorful kernels from bag to bag! I always wondered what the actual difference is between Movie Theatre Butter and Ultimate Butter as they are both similarly flavorful and packed with the same addictive buttery flavor. Either one is a five-star rating for me. Fortunately, as some have claimed, we have never had an issue with any Redenbacher product. For those who have had problems, they might first check their freshness date as that can impact the quality of the end product. For me, it is the best popcorn in America!
