OtterBox STRADA SERIES Case for Apple iPhone 14 Pro - Shadow (77-88564) - New

The case looked great out of the package, now that I've had it for a month of so, the leather is all scuffed up and looks like I've had it for years. I work an office job so it's not like it's getting abused. The biggest complaint is despite what the description says, it is NOT Magsafe wireless charging compatible, not even close. I spent roughly 20 mins the first day trying to get it to connect to the charger. The charger base is double sided taped to the nightstand so it makes moving the phone around to line up the charger pretty straight forward, yet it wouldn't charge. I popped it out of the case and it charges fine. I've tried again a couple more times, and nothing. Positives, it holds 2 cards easily yet securely and the magnetic latch works well.

Just wish it had the magnet on the opposite opening side!

Just got it and didn't realize it only held 2 cards. I thought it had 2 slots that could hold more than 1 card each. The card slots are super tight so putting 2 in each doesn't exactly work well. I carry my ID, debit card, and health insurance card. How hard would it be to put an extra slot? Overall the case is built well and I doubt I'll have any issues. In regards to the case latch change, I don't know what it was before but the latch doesn't seem to be an issue for me.

This case is secure and protects my phone. I read the numerous complaints about the magnetic tab. Yet, for me it isn’t a nuisance. It reminds me how effectively it keeps the case closed and the phone protected securely. I appreciate the pockets for my cards, the color, and the perceived durability thus far. I rely on OtterBox as a provider of quality products to protect an expensive and frequently used phone.

Love the case, hate the side volume buttons. Repeatedly reduce volume to zero when grasping the phone. Side buttons are unnecessary for volume control when you can easily control the volume by opening the case.

I really like this case. It looks really good and functions well. I carry my phone in my pocket and this case keeps it from getting scratched. This case also functions as my wallet so that’s one less thing for me to worry about losing

I don't care the added clasp and I've bought Strada every time since iPhone 8. Would prefer to have the magnet integrated ito the door flap or none at all. I will keep using it for now but am looking for something without that additional clasp!

I have had a strada case of my iPhone for YEARS. I love them so so much and never planned to change cases, ever. This updated version with the flap latch is terrible and I’m so sad to have to return it and find a new case moving forward. I’m not sure what their reasoning was for adding it, but it very much gets in the way of functionally using the screen and it completely prevents you from securing the front panel behind your phone when in use. Overall, absolutely awful ‘upgrade’ for otterbox to make. I truly hope they’ll bring back the old version of the strada quickly.

Third of this kind, always lasted till changing phone and I switched last time from iPhone 11 to 13. Don’t have to worry about screen breaking. Best so far in >10 years using iPhones

The case comes up too high at the bottom and makes it difficult to swipe up out of the screen

I have used Strada cases on my iPhones for several years and rated them all 5 except this new iPhone Pro version. On my Last iPhone it did an outstanding job on protecting my phone: One drop was when the phone flew out of my pocket and hit the asphalt when I was on my bicycle (3+ feet high and I was going about 20 MPH): The case was scuffed up, but no damage to the phone or screen. The last case version also had good ergonomics when using and I could fit 3 cards in that slot. On the new iPhone 14 pro case I just received, looks to have the same protection level and looks great. Now the downside: I absolutely hate that magnetic latch leather flap added to this version as it impedes the ergonomics of using the screen in my opinion (hits by thumb and is annoying). The last version was just an integrated magnetic latch which worked great and no ergonomic issue with use. Also, wish the new version had 3 card slots as that is the minimum cards I like to carry. I may have to return this as I am having trouble getting over the new latch. I will consider Otterbox for all my future phones and hope they make some changes on the new Strada.

I’ve use an OtterBox with a protective flip front for years. It protected my screen without having to buy a glass shield. I thought the design looked odd but how bad could it be? It’s an OtterBox! This new case design for the iPhone 14 is horrible! The huge tab barely hold the case closed (weak magnet) and is always in the way. I’m about ready to throw it in the trash and look for something else. Read the other negative reviews and find another case. It’s that bad!

Don’t like how it has a folding tab to help keep close. My old strata front magnetized close.

Case is nice and well made. I was thinking that the wallet would be able to separate from the case itself, which it doesn’t. Other than that it’s a good phone case.

These are my favorite Otter Box case because they protect the screen.
